Mater's Tall Tales [Blu-Ray] (English audio)

I can't say enough good things about this "movie." It consists of a number of short cartoons, and there are several additional undeveloped shorts in the bonus material at the end which are almost as fun (my daughter enjoys those storyboard rough ideas almost as much as the fully animated cartoons -- which may indicate that all the money spent on the amazing CG animation might be a complete waste!). Mater is the central character in each story, in a tall tale told to Lightning McQueen, each of which typically ends with a surprise hint that, just maybe, they might actually somehow be true. Pacing and humor are spot on throughout. This is even funnier for adults than for kids, with lots of allusions, references, and situations which the kids won't get but will make you laugh out loud. The music complements the film perfectly.My daughter watches these over and over, and it's always a good option when we've offered to give her just 10 minutes of video time, since the stories are all short and self-contained. I highly recommend this for both adults and parents of small children.

If your little one likes Mater then this is a no brainer! Gave this a 4 star because our little one wasn't so interested at the bonus content at the end. Could do without. Lots of fun scenes of Mater. Definitely recommend.

My nephew and dad both were thrilled. The stories are so cute and can be watched over and over.

These are hilarious! My son and I laugh every time we watch and both of us have seen these multiple times over the years.

My son looooves this movie. He is 2 and never saw the Cars movies. These are short stories, great and easy for toddlers to follow. I like it too!

My son loves Disney cars. Just with they had all the mini cartoon on it. It is cool to see how the made cars land at Disneyland.

The best 30 mins of shorts. My 2.5 year old has watched this non-stop for about a year. We love it.

My son is a huge Cars fan, but he loves this anthology of “Mater Tales” even more. Get it! You won’t regret it!

I have been after this collection on BluRay for some time so when the opportunity came for me to buy it at £4.99 how could I refuse.The picture and sound quality are perfect throughout and the shorts themselves are always worthy of repeat viewings.I just wish Pixar would make some more.......perhaps with Cars 3 on the horizon they might just do it ???
