This product is terribly and cheaply made, even for cheap stuff from China.To start with, they clearly used the lowest spec powder coating possible and then packed the pieces rubbing against each other with no wrapping in the package, leading to the product arriving right out of the box with horrible scratches and chipped coating everywhere. It’s a mess. If you were wanting to use it inside on your hearth, you wouldn’t because it would be a hideous mess.I’m using it outside under an awning, luckily, so I went ahead and started assembling anyway. But it’s so cheaply made that the cuts aren’t straight and one piece, especially, can’t go together enough to let the screw through the holes so I guess I’m going to need to take a grinder to it and grind it down. And it’s not like the screw holes are fine-tolerance machined marvels. There’s slop for days in them. And, still, the screw won’t fit.Would not buy again.

Let me first say, the 1 stars reviews are 100% correct. None of the holes match up to assemble. There’s gaps left when you try to get the holes to align. Which affects the sturdiness. NONE of the nuts in the kit are the correct size. You can’t tighten them past the 1st thread because they’re the incorrect size. The rack itself came scratched up and RUSTY. YES. Rusty.It comes with a single photo for assembly, which was fine-I watched the video. But the video is not accurate to the product received.After sitting on the floor for an hour with this thing believing myself to be crazy I read the reviews (which I should have done 1st) and realized it wasn’t me. Everything everyone said was true. Do not waste your $80 on the piece of junk. It’s terrible Amazon even allows this seller. I am ready to scream after messing with this piece of junk waste of my time and money.Printing the shipping label and sending it back. It’s literally impossible to assemble when the holes don’t align and the nuts aren’t the correct size.Disappointed in an understatement.

Awful. I have to agree with other reviewers: this product is terrible. Received it in a damaged box with the actual product hanging out the bottom. Upon opening, there were no instructions included for assembly. Assembly would have been fairly straightforward even without instructions if the holes for the screws were not mismatched and improperly placed. After musing over the pros and cons of trying to box it all back up for returning, My husband and I decided to try to salvage it and spent half an afternoon drilling out new holes just so we could put it together. Huge headache. Once we finally got it together, it does seem to be sturdy enough for indoor use. I can’t say that I would recommend it for anything more, as the metal is rough cut and flimsy and I foresee it falling apart/rusting out if exposed to the elements. We decided to keep it, because returning it would have been a huge hassle...but buyers need to pay attention to all the reviews on this thing.

The product arrived in an open ended box. The hoop parts were longer than the box. Hence, those pieces were exposed during shipping and handling. However, upon layout I found that all pieces were inside and the smaller parts (nuts, bolts, screws/driver) were taped safely to the base, which was not exposed. The instructions were visual and smaller than the eyes of an older person like me could decipher. So I used the logic of the numbers assigned to each part to decide what and when each piece should be assembled., which worked perfectly. I played the parts out on the floor as numerically illustrated and then proceeded to assemble, not completely tightening the screws until I was certain that all parts of the puzzle were logically in place. I did have to unscrew one of brackets and turn it in the opposite direction which was the only adjustment that I had to make. Then I revisited each of the screws to tighten completely. Keep an eye on the instruction as you work and you will get through it just fine. There may be times when you need an additional hand to hold a couple of areas in place while you perform the initial hardware assembly. The item is very light weight and rocks unevenly at the bottom initially. However, after loading the fire wood it becomes grounded and sits evenly with no rocking. The thickness is about what you would expect to keep the hoop lightweight and with Chicagoland's extreme seasons I anticipate some rusting by next summer - but will wait and see. Although my rating averages only four stars because of the lack of written instructions, my overall satisfaction is 5 stars.

I am extremely happy that I bought the 48 inch sunnydayz brand black steel indoor outdoor firewood log rack! Are used to have the small wood rack and although it worked perfect it was not holding as much firewood as I needed for my woodstove. Since I purchased the 48 inch size it is nice and large and I can hold three days or more of firewood. I believe the steel frame is very sturdy and easy to put together. And I would not hesitate to buy another one.

We are returning this item. After 2 hours attempting every possible way to assemble this we found that poor craftsmanship made this impossible. I was very disappointed. the poles did not fit inside one another even after we greased them. The ones that did fit, the holes didn't line up so that the screws could be used with the braces. It also came with no instructions. there was just simply a picture with the parts numbered.

This thing is good, once you figure out to put the M C. Esher instruction graphic aside and just figure it out yourself. Put the hoops together loosely first. Once you have them right then connect the cross braces, which means you will have to take the nut off each joint as you connect the cross pieces to that joint. Oh, and give up on finding the 3 different size bolts. There are only 2 sizes and the long one is for the interloop connection.you will know that you have the hoops correct when you can slit in the interloop bolt. Good luck!

Awful to assemble, holes too small for screws.I take some responsibility because when I ordered it I assumed it was welded as that the type I was looking for.

The quality of the product is extremely poor. Most of the parts do not line up in order to fit together easily. It was an incredible struggle to put the item together. I needed help from 2 people in order to have a chance of completing assembly. In addition, half of the screw/nut combinations came with the threads stripped so they did not want to work with each other. When assembly was completed, the whole thing was warped to the point that the legs do not align and sit flush on the ground.It was such a pain to assemble, the instructions were so extremely poor, that I can not recommend this product to anyone.

This wood rack is absolutely awesome and creates such a beautiful display in our fire pit area. Easy to put together. Thank you so much.
