Very Comforting, Super helfpul for opening the conversation to explain death and doggy heaven
Our Sweet 16 year old dog was sick and we came to a point where we knew we were going to have to say goodbye. We knew we had only a few days left with our pup and I didn't even know how to prepare my almost 4 year old son. The book arrived on Sunday, I opened it (great quality, sturdy book with great illustrations) and explained to my son that Chewy was very sick, old and would one day go to heaven and i was excited to share this book with him. This book is so comforting to my son to understand what happens after chewy goes to heaven, he was so excited for chewy to pick out his wings. In fact we read the book to Chewy and my son helped him pick out his wings. This book is so sweet, not overwhelming, it is comforting and simple and focuses on the positives, touches on the sadness we may feel (one page), but mostly on the fun our dog will have when he reaches heaven :)

So helpful and sweet
I bought this book for our 2 year old at the time. Two years later and we still talk about our dog in fairy dog heaven although he now understands a little better about death. It was just as helpful for me when I lost my dog though when we would read together. It is the sweetest book and we send it to anyone with children when they have a pet pass. Thank you so much to the author for creating this.

What an amazing book!
I have to admit I am pretty lazy when it comes to writing reviews but I have to say that this books was great. It did not only help with my child's grief but my own. the story is super cute, the variety of dogs that could be similar to your own dog, the vibrant picture and the delivery is just heart warming just when you need it the most. I can't recommend it enough!

The best loss of pet book
We lost our beloved dog to a short battle with cancer. This book really helped our kid with understanding and working through her grief. It's been several months now, and she still brings up parts of the book and talks about what our pup might be doing right now.Non-religious depiction of doggy heaven

Perfect for a child
This book is very nice! It makes going to the Rainbow Bridge a positive and good experience.I gave it to my 7 year old great-granddaughter after her doggy had to be put down.

Great book about dog loss for children
When our beloved family dog passed, I ordered numerous books to help explain to our children (3&6) what had happened. This is the only book that stuck. Beautiful illustrations, easy to follow along, and we still read this 4 months after our dog passed. Highly recommend.

Found comfort for my 4yr old
Whish this book had hard pagesbesides that I’m in love on how easy it is to read and my 4yr old understands every word my child likes for me to read to him even twice a day or before bedtime I can tell that this book has given him lots of comfort and now he understands we’re our 12yr old dog went and that she’s ok and most of all happy I can’t thank you enough! I also glue a picture of our dog in the clouds of the first and last page he enjoys looking at her. This is just what I was looking for.. great book for a gift for a child if there having a hard time aceepting or just don’t understand. at first it was to hard for my child to talk about our dog being gone he would cry and did not want to talk about her when the book arrive he just look at the pages and later he ask for me to read now this is his favorite book sometimes it makes him sad but it’s ok every day is different. He will talk to our pet in heaven and say I wonder what she’s doing now maybe playing ball or eating the buffet I just love seeing his smile again.. thank you ❤️

Uplifting story for kids and adults after losing a dog
Although this is written an illustrated as a children's book, it paints a beautiful picture of your dog's life after it passes. Through some tears, it made even the adults smile. I liked it so much I bought one for my adult friend who just lost her dog. Simpler seems better at a time like this. Some of the books I looked at were actual storied and too much. Just wanted sweet thoughts to ease the heart.
