I have minimal experience with a full size machine but I will compare it more to performing the sewing by hand. I am sure this portable mini machine would get blown out of the water by a commercial sized one. However, it sure beat doing a small repair job by hand.One item to note, it does not use a bobbin spool underneath like bigger machines (with the full spool on the top needle side). So how does it work? No idea...but it does a job straight stitch way better than I imagined. Great for small repairs and minor jobs or if like me, you don't have access to a big expensive machine.

Bought this for my daughter to use for her sewing class.This little machine is very ease to use. If you do not want to do a lot of fancy stitching and need a small machine this is the one for you. I thought it was a kids toy noway it is as good as any full size machines and can handle some quite large projects. Really pleased with this buy.

This is such a great little kit to take on the go or for my quick fixes and it’s so easy to use!

Got this as a gift for my sister-in-law as she is visiting and wanted a kit to do some sewing (none of us sew). I figured it is great as a gift and she would get good use out of it! She loves it and says it has everything that is needed for quick sewing jobs. I looked at the instructions and think they are very detailed! But it is not a beginner’s kit in the least. Glad I made my SIL happy with this little gift. She was excited to receive it.

Doesn't work. We could not figure out how to get proper stitches with this sewing machine.. The thread kept getting pulled out and never made loops on the bottom.

This is just whatever. It would be cooler if it could reverse just for a sec but you can’t. You just have to tie the string. Lame.

I got this because I thought it would be simple to use. The instructions are vague and after several attempts I gave up and hand stitched. Standard sewing machines make me nervous, but I think I’ll use that in the future instead of this item. Hope it worked better for others.
