I've been toying with the idea of hyaluronic acid for a few months now. I try to take good care of my skin in general - sunscreen (always!!), vitamin c serum, moisturizer, quality make up - and it's worked well so far. But I'm young, and my skin looks good right now. What I really want is to take the steps I need to now to ensure it still looks good 10-20 years in the future. I think hyaluronic acid may play a role there.That said, I'll give my first impressions of the serum now and update the review a few months down the line with results (if any).As many other reviews have mentioned, the serum itself is thick - enough that it takes a second or two longer than you'd expect for the dropper to suck it up. I don't have a preference either way, thin vs thick, but it's relevant for those who do.Given the thickness, I expected it to leave my skin at least a little tacky. I was pleasantly surprised to find it absorbed well and left my skin smooth. I layered it over my usual vitamin C serum and under my moisturizer/sunscreen without any problems. My makeup looks normal and smooth over it, too.I obviously haven't noticed any differences in my skin's quality after 2 days of use, but I received this product at a discount in exchange for an unbiased and honest review and I wanted to share my opinion thus far. I'll continue to use the serum and report back any changes (or lack there of).ETA 11/7: Just a note regarding the seller, VoilaVe. I gave my try at few hyaluronate acids. Losing hope in this endeavor, but I was ready try one more. This one by far met my wants! Thick, no scent, not sticky (unless you put a ton on), and draws directly into my skin. I hit the jackpot. I subscribed to make sure. Now, it’s not available. I am SO disappointed.I’ll be 60, and this sort of item means a lot at this point. I would appreciate if it does return the sellers offer it first to those who subscribed and at the same cost (at least the first time). Wouldn’t that be a great act of customer service?

I have only been using this product for one week now, so I can't honestly give it 5 stars just yet. I will have to see the final results after a couple months of use. I will probably base my final opinion on comments I receive from people like "Wow, your skin looks great!" (since I typically don't wear make-up, I like those kinds of comments) and how it looks and feels compared to previous winters since I live in a high desert environment that is harsh on the skin during that time of year. The 4 stars for right now is based on the price when compared to similar products and how it feels to use if after one week. It goes on smoothly and my face feels moisturized after putting it on even before adding my own moisturizer afterwards. I like that it's a gel consistency, it gives me time to spread it around my face and rub it in. However, I don't understand why there is a dropper to apply it because the gel ends up sticking to the outside of the dropper, making it useless. I don't know the properties of hyaluronic acid, so maybe my order is more viscous due to the cold weather, batch quality, etc. Therefore, the only downside I foresee is being able to get the remainder out of the bottle when it's almost used up. I still have to investigate the claims regarding high vs low molecular weight, but since it was about the same price as other similar products, I thought "What the heck".

The following review is her review of this product as she is the user of this product: My boyfriend purchased this Hyaluronic Acid Serum as a gift, knowing I was looking for a high & low Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I was very happy that he'd found what I was looking for but without either a long list of ingredients that are fillers or possible irritants the most active and important ingredients being far down the list (meaning that the most desired ingredients aren't in the first 3-4 ingredients listed, so the concentration of the formula isn't enough to be very effective or give you the results you paid for). VoilaVe has a formula that has only 5 ingredients. The formula/ingredients are:Purified Water, High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid, Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid, Phenoxyyethanol (antibacterial/preservative agent), Ethylhexylglygerin (deodorizing/skin conditioning agent). Due to Hyaluronic Acid's ability to hold water, a single gram of Hyaluronic Acid can hold up to 6 liters of water and is a natural component of our own bodies but as we age we our skin loses moisture, low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid is smaller & able to go deeper into the skins layers while high molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid stays more topically & can create a type of barrier of moisture loss & hold moisture on the surface of the skin. I'm very happy with the ease that this product has replaced a less effective, single unspecified weight Hyaluronic Acid formula that contained a watered down, filler filled product that cost considerably more & felt uncomfortable on my skin. I'm really so impressed with VoilaVe's line of products ingredient information that I not only am going to continue purchasing this wonderful product, but I am going to try replacing a few of my other skin care products with VoilaVe products & anticipate equally excellent results and a significant savings as the entire line is very reasonably priced. I am so appreciative of my boyfriend's considerate gift & exactly what I was looking for! It's amazing that I mentioned my search for high & low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid in a less gooey formula & a guy who is blessed with no need to worry about anything more than soap & water found something I couldn't find & remembered my somewhat clinical lament & not only found what I was looking for but found a company that appears to be dedicated to simplistic formulas with known beneficial ingredients & reasonably priced products! Plus this new little gem makes my dry skin look & feel much better!
