OXO Good Grips 2 Cup Fat Separator, Plastic, One Size

We love our OXO Good Grips 4 Cup Fat Separator. We have used it so many times, especially at the holidays when making a turkey. When my sister-in-law asked us to bring ours to her house for the annual family Thanksgiving feast, I decided to just gift her one so they would always have it. She was so happy and thankful to receive my small gift.This fat separator works exactly as it should. The side markings are clear and easy to read. The non-slip handle is great to have in case your hands are greasy. The strainer works to catch all of the chunks. And everything washes up perfectly, but I will note that I prefer to hand wash.Last, I will say that this 4 cup version is the perfect size. Please do not waste your money on the smaller 2 cup version for basically the same price. You won't be disappointed.

This is a wonderful item, it really separates the oil from the liquid. It comes in several sizes depending on what you need it for, which is great cuz I've only seen it in one size. These used to be all over the place and I can only find them on Amazon now. They're easy to clean, easy to use, and they probably make really good Christmas presents because a lot of people don't think about them. Get one, you will love it!

Hold about two cups of liquid, strains out most of the larger bits in the pan and I end up with very little fat in my gravy because the plug in the spout keeps liquid out until I’m ready to decant the broth. Very useful.

Idk how I made it to 43 without figuring this one out, but here we are. Thank you, cooking shows. I love this gadget! Way better than trying to ladle out the fat from the top. Time saver. Made for perfect dripping gravy from our turkey. Loaded up the base of the roasting pan with veggies, bouillon, fresh herbs, lemon rinds and water, and cooked the turkey on a rack nestled into the pan (breast side down). The bird steamed itself tender. But then the gravy!! I loaded up all the drippings and what was left of the veggies, squished them down in the upper part (sort of a juicing if you will), let it rest for 10 mins to separate while I toasted up some butter and flour, and then poured the drippings into the pan, stopping short when I got to the oil. The gravy didn’t need any other seasoning. It was perfect as it was and delicious! Bonus, the dogs got a special fat treat on their food for the next few evenings. I opted for this model over the spout on bottom version, because I trust gravity and time will always wreak their havoc. I was worried the seal on bottom variety would fail eventually and it would be a pain to clean. With this model I was worried I’d get too much grease still in the pour, but it was clear when to stop pouring, and it was a breeze to clean. Bonus, I have an extra measuring cup between dripping uses. (I bought the 4 cup version.) This brand sealed the deal for me, as I have other devices from them and they are all built well and to last the test of time. This purchase will not disappoint!

this works well. it held the hot liquid without cracking and spilling like my last one, i feel its was worth the money not be injured. buy this not dollar store

Una de las mejores compras que he hecho para mi cocina. Tiene capacidad y me permite desgrasar el caldo en caliente nada más hecho en 5 minutos. Antes tenía que dejarlo enfriar y meterlo en la nevera hasta el día siguiente para poder hacer lo mismo.
