Blue board is hard to break
I got the blue board because the yellow ones tend to be easy to break. Well the blue one ended up being too difficult to break so I had to buy a different one. It takes a pretty decent amount of force to break it so it was not good for the practice we intended to use it for.

Sort of flimsy but fun practice item!
Wanted to buy this and see if a green belt could break it. Broke with force and is a good practice tool for martial arts. It is flimsy, the plastic is already chipping and that makes it more difficult to put back together.

Yellow is very weak, but cool product!
This thing is really fun for kids! I have the 'red' and 'yellow' - my completely average 3-year old can easily break the yellow, so just keep in mind that this specific board is very weak.

tricky to slide together
Very thin foam padding if you can call it that. A bit tricky to slide together after it loosens up a little after the first few breaks. Has held up to an elementary kid and a few hits from Mom and Dad so far.

Holding up well so far
I got the yellow board for my 5 year old to practice board breaking for his taekwondo tournament. It is very comparable to the boards he needs to break in class. He loves being able to break it and break it again, over and over. It had a loud snap when it breaks, which gives him much satisfaction, and confidence. Some reviews say it was hard to break at first, but this one has been the same from day one. Also, other say it doesn't last many breaks before getting weak. We have hit it a 2 to 3 hundred times now, and still has the same strength as the first time we broke it. It has saved us a ton of money in real board to practice on. We will be buying the next level up soon.

Works great with a little grease!
I have a 5 yo taking taekwondo class and he really likes breaking boards. Right out of the box this board was way too hard to break. You had to really hit it hard and the only way they could break it is if I held it while putting pressure on it with my thumbs. I decided to try a little white lithium grease (like a tiny drop) on the joint to make it easier to break. Worked great! Now the boys can punch and kick and chop away without hurting their hands. If they want it harder then I can clean the joint out and now it's hard to break again.

There really should be thinner than this
My 9 year old son is practicing for his taekwondo black belt and has 3 required breaks for his test. We bought him a board to practice at home to supplement the practice he gets at his dojong. Which size should I get, well he is a smallish 9 year old so I got the thinnest, the yellow. Well, he has never successfully completed the overhead strike which he can do with the boards at the dojong. He once got his 360 spinning kick to work with the yellow board, but once again is more successful in the dojong. He has never completed his twin strike break with the yellow board. This quite clearly is not the easiest there could be as there should be another option for the youth. For comparison, I can break using an overhead strike at will with the yellow board using "proper" technique and the greater force that I generate, so it is too easy for an adult clearly (and I have no taekwondo training). However it is not my picturesque technique, it is the adult force I supply that enables this.

Maybe a little too easy to break
6 year old in my class had no problem breaking it on first try with reverse punch.

Came damaged
Looks like it came used or damaged, someone took some sharp edges to it, not sure if anyone else had the same problem

Très difficile à casser cette planche. Mais très bonne qualité.
Très bonne qualité toutefois très difficile à casser.
