A superb artbook that is worthy in any collection. A look back over the artistic works of one of my favourite artists, Patrick J Jones, with commentary from the artist, which was a fascinating read into the inspiration of his artworks. With over 100 paintings covered in the book, some covered full page and sometimes in a double page splash, this book is definitely recommended if you adore fantasy and fantastical art.

In my opinion there is now a third pillar in the temple of classic fantasy art. Right behind Frank and Boris is Patrick.Patrick's excellent books on oil painting and charcoal drawing inspired me to begin learning each medium. Those books are so informative and conversational...and also filled with such stunning artwork that when I saw this book up for pre-order, I did not hesitate.Exceeded my expectations with lush illustration, along with some comps/roughs of the pieces on display and of course the charming conversational tone that has become a hallmark of his books.

I have learned so much reading Patrick's books on how to draw and paint, it was refreshing to see more of his artwork. He stands out with his quality of work and is the top category of some of the Great Modern Fantasy artists Boris, Julie Bell, Frazetta, Brom, Rowena... to many greats to be named. The quality and feel is uniquely his own and very inspiring. Although this book is not like his others where he is passing knowledge, the study and enjoyment of the art I am sure true art and fantasy art lovers will enjoy.Great work Patrick and thanks.

An exquisitely presented book that represents the oeuvre of a singularly talented artist. Redolent of the great sci-fi and fantasy legends Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta (amongst others), Patrick's work stands out as distinctly original, evocative and powerful. An utterly beautiful collection, thoughtfully and elegantly compiled and a truly worthy addition to any lover of this genre art form.
