The Viridian Reactor 5 green laser sight barrels through space to improve shooting accuracy and targeting. Why green? Green lasers are substantially more visible to the human eye than red lasers allowing you to view your target quicker and further away than any red laser. Our lasers are powered to the maximum legal strength! The 532 nm wavelength laser beam makes it perfect for use at night or day. The Reactor 5 can reach targets up to 100 yards away in the daylight and two miles at night. The battery life is outstanding, lasting up to two hours making it more reliable than any other laser sight. It also includes a dual color battery indicator, letting you know when it is time to replace the battery. The green laser is not only highly visible, accurate and compact, it’s also super light-weight and is designed specifically for your gun. With Viridian’s ECR technology, the Reactor 5 automatically switches on when drawn, reducing the chance of fumbling to activate the sight in a critical self-defense situation. When you draw, it’s on! This makes it ideal for home protection from dangerous intruders or in self-defense situations. Along with it’s no hassle design, it includes a custom holster for your gun, making it a low-profile addition that is easy to conceal and carry. The laser sight is built from high strength thermo molded polymer making it virtually weightless and extremely durable. The Reactor 5 green laser sight is easy to install in only a few minutes, secures tightly to the gun and is easily adjustable. Add a Viridian Reactor 5 green laser and give your gun a major upgrade today!

Limited Usefulness: Only Works with the Holster
The on/off button on this laser cannot be activated by using your finger. It is in a partially depressed state and does not extend beyond the housing of the device. You have to use a retracted ball point pen or similar tool to turn the laser on or off. Not much use in a tactical situation, which is what they advertise the laser for. Awaiting contact from Viridian Customer Support about returning the laser. Heard back from the manufacturer who said the device is designed for use with the holster so it is "not easy to turn off" by hand. The unresponsive button was described as "not atypical." So, in conclusion, this laser is only going to work with the IWB holster and is useless if you want to carry the weapon any other way. I'm returning it for a refund.

Although it is decent, the sight is relatively fragile. The difficulty in changing batteries sucks as you have to take the thing apart with the 3 screws. The adjustment screws are fine, until they strip, which mine did immediately. Luckily i was as close to zero at 30 feet as i could get before it would not adjust anymore, not sure if its the screw or the alen that stripped, ill investigate that further later. The freaking power button is on the left side, (would much prefer right) and is next to impossible to operate unless your finger digs into it dead center, forget operating the button under need conditions and hope it automatically comes on when you draw, or just use good ole iron sights. However, the good, it is bright, like really bright. A good quality laser for sure. The IWB holster it came with is surprisingly well made, and comfortable, easy to draw and re holster. Its no kydex shell hybrid or anything, but it gets the job done. The auto on feature is a nice touch, and is necessary since the button is so difficult to operate under stress conditions. Ive had 1 time where i re holstered and the laser stayed on, i have not had it not turn on when drawing. Over all its OK, if it had an easier method to replace the batteries and the adjustment allen key or screws weren't so flimsy itd be 5 stars.

Great laser for Ruger LCP 9S
Great laser for Ruger LCP 9S. It installs very easily and comes with the tiny hex/star wrenches you need to install it, although the instructions are not clear. No photos and first step in installing batteries assumes you already have the housing apart. That being said, the screws that hold the housing together are *tiny*. I kept them in the box it came in so I would not lose them. Once installed, it works great with the included Viridian Reactor holster. I did not give it five stars because the manufacturer claims you can put a dot at 100 yards in broad daylight. I tested it on a completely overcast day, and lost the dot after 20 yards.Pros: Fits pistol perfectly, comes with extra batteries, laser dot is very bright at close range, included holster is awesome and conceals well even though it is OWB.Cons: Manufacturer's claim that dot is visible at 100 yards in daylight is complete BS.

VERY distinct green laser, very bright
Great brightness, comes with 2 sets of batteries. The unit also comes with all necessary tools to dismantle and install. The major weakness of this product that I've come to see so far is removal to replace batteries. It locks in really efficiently and seems to have a really tight fit.I've zeroed it and will be putting through ~150 rounds to see if it maintains zero, then will update. Also, on a plus note, my cat really enjoys chasing the laser!UPDATE:The zero has maintained through 150-200 rounds being fired after the initial zero.(I did not use a boresight to zero it)UPDATE (4/11/2016):As I previously suspected, changing the battery was substantially more difficult than it should have been. You have to fully remove the laser (which is locked on really tightly) and the entire time I was trying to pry it off I was hoping that it didn't break. Luckily it seems to be constructed well enough that it can easily handle that type of stress. The unit comes with a spare battery, so the replacement was simple in that regard--I'll need to buy more for the future, though. After about 1500 rounds it started to lose its zero and I'll really be needing to use a boresight to affix a proper zero this time.Overall, with the amount that I've used it, it has definitely stood up to it. If you have an XDS, this is a great addition!

WARNING CONTAINS DANGEROUS CHEMICALS!!!!!
I ordered a Gen2 for Kahr PM9. What arrived was a package for a PM45. It was dated 2013... how is that a Gen2? I didn't notice this at first and put it on my CM9. The PM45 kit did actually fit the PM9 but cants the laser body a bit downward... enough that if you try to adjust the laser calibration upwards to compensate, the aperture in the body of the laser occludes the beam. The holster wouldn't turn off the laser, likely due to it being for a 45 rather than a 9. The magnet is in the wrong place. Here's where it gets interesting. When I tried to return it Amazon wouldn't permit that, and gave the reason that its not eligible for return because it contains chemicals that cant be shipped. I hit up Amazon chat, and they refunded my money and told me to discard it, they didn't want it back. I took it apart, drilled a wider hole for the laser to peek out of on the laser body, put in on, dialed it an and kaboom. Free laser. Maybe I can move the magnet on the holster, or buy another one.As for the laser itself, its bright... not as bright as the green on my rifle, but I'm satisfied. The button to turn it on and off manually truly sucks. A terrible design! They recessed it too far into the body of the laser. It should be 1mm higher. I can turn it on and off, but not reliably. Sometimes it takes a second push.I don't see the plastic hardware on the holster lasting very long at all, but that's just an opinion. For free, count me in. For the 145 I would have paid..... idk. Seems overpriced.
