Sheffield Workhouse

Book arrived great! Husband's grandmother and 2 siblings grew up in a Sheffield Workhouse after their parents were killed in a carriage accident. He was disappointed that not more was included about how CHILDREN were treated. It was interesting and at the same time, disheartening to learn the conditions in which they was raised. At age 14 she was sent to Pittsburgh, PA as an indentured servant. The other two to Canada.Book construction was not best - a section fell out of the middle.
