My mom was using this in Germany for over 60 years. Works then...works now. I'll never be without it.

My parents used this when I was a baby, and now I'm using it with my son. It's very helpful with diaper rashes and irritations, but I've also used it on burns and sunburns on myself. It smells good too. The last batch I got the texture was less viscous than typically, more creamy, although it smells the same and seems to work just like before. Not sure if it's a formula change, but if so, I actually like it better, since it's easier to spread.

Originally found this cream in Canada when my son was small. We were traveling. He had terrible diaper rash, and nothing seemed to work. We went into a pharmacy there, and found Penaten. Since we'd tried everything else on the shelf, we bought a tin. Applied it one time at bedtime, and when my son woke up the next morning, the diaper rash was completely gone! It was almost unbelievable. It's from a German company and has a lot of natural ingredients. We keep a tin of it in our medicine cabinet at all times. All ages of the family use it for a variety of minor skin irritations. A truly amazing product.

Woah- I have enough product for 100 nurseries for 100 years. Hahaha-was recommended for my pups pink rash boo-boo on her lower lip. Has been very effective! Glad I purchased for this purpose.

Penaten cream is a great product for minor healing wounds and irritations. Better than Vaseline / Aquaphor type products.However this can had been out in the heat and melted. I only hope the heat altered the composition and effectiveness of the product itself.

I'm so glad I finally found it here in the USA, even though I had to order it, since it's not to be found anywhere locally.This cream is very thick and rich, so you don't need a lot when you apply it. In my opinion it's the best not only for baby's bottom, but for people of all ages who need to apply a healing cream to small wounds, scrapes, etc. It will soothe the skin almost immediately and encourage the healing process. It can be used openly or covered with a band aid.If you choose to use it on your face, use it very sparingly, since it is so thick. It will not disappear into your skin like a moisturizer does, and it's not meant to be used as a base under makeup.

This is great stuff for diaper rash and summer chafing.It’s a great product.
