A little tricky to figure out, but once you get the process down, it's easy to crank out ice balls fairly quickly.The trick is to fill the bottom portion to the brim, then just press the top section down on top, squirting the extra water out of the holes on top. Dab the sides of the tray dry, and put it in the freezer. It's pretty easy and works well. Just make sure to do it over the sink or on a towel, as some water will escape your tray (it's supposed to happen, don't worry).I think the people who gave it one star must be trying to fill it via the tiny holes, which absolutely won't work and defies common sense. If you follow my basic instructions, you'll get 10 ice balls every 4-6 hours (depending on your freezer temperature, I suppose), each about the size of a regular ice cube.Trust me, if you fill it correctly, it's great.

Great product like they say it is. I'm a one handed person w other hand weak & this is a blessing for me. Easy to get out.

Got these for a “Jaws” themed party. If you make ice with them, they don’t float upright in your drink quite like one would hope, but they’re still very fun. Works great as a jello mold.

This is NOT a flimsy tray that, when filled with water, you can't take a step toward the freezer. You can fill this, and it is still rigid enough to walk with and store in the freezer.without dripping all over. I've made perfectly round ice cubes that really do last a very long time, as well as frozen round popsicles for my dog who LOVES them. I even made frozen yogurt and fruit balls by freezing one side, and then adding the second side. It worked great. Also, because they are perfectly round, you can make eyeballs for halloween, or decorative ice cubes for drinks. A great purchase.

Great mold! I've recently started making soaps and ran across some photos of shot-glass soaps, couldn't find the molds available with soaping companies any longer, so of course I hit-up Amazon for my search. This mold was pretty much identical to the pics I saw online and the mold was at an excellent price. The quality looked really good too. I'm extremely happy with the finished product. I added clear soap with glitter to the inside of the shot glasses and drizzled some along the topes of the glass to give a dripping effect...pretty perfect if you ask me!

do not waste your hard earn money on these fins, The fins that come in this ice tray are to tall, and makes the ice cube fall over. So save your money and spend the $20 bucks on the other ones that are sold on the Sand Salt & Sea store the only down side to the other ones are that you only get 6 fin ice cubes other then like the ones here you get 10 ice cubes. I gues that is what I get for being greedy over 4 more little fin ice cubes.

these are great extra large ice cubes

This is the best ice cube tray that I have come upon. I take a water bottle to work and don't like drinking lukewarm water by midday so throwing one of these large cubes in my bottle has has been awesome in helping me increase my water intake. I also water down lemon juice and make cubes of that for lemon infused water - pure lemon juice cubes at this size is too strong.These sized cubes are great for entertaining as they melt slow and guests appreciate that their drinks aren't as watered down as with crushed or smaller cubes of ice.My Mom freezes homemade sauces and when she saw this tray she commented on how it would be the perfect size for sauce cubes and ordered one for herself.The cubes come out of this tray SO much easier than the rigid trays and I didn't notice any offensive smell to the silicone like other reviewers mentioned.

Makes great ice balls that look great and last a while! I think being round they melt more efficiently. I like the design of this ice tray as it does not leak anywhere with the big lip on the bottom half of the tray. Round is the way to go on first impressions of my first set of ice balls!
