Best bike for little kids.
Ok let me start by saying this is the 3rd bike I have purchased for my son in the last 2 summers. I got him a Schwinn for his first bike and the part where the pedals connect to the bike fell apart after a few months of use. So I bought a bike at Walmart and that bike again fell apart the same way after a few months of regular use, not abuse. So for my son’s 6th birthday I researched on Amazon and read a lot of reviews and decided on this bike. I am so happy with this bike and my son loves it too. Let me explain. This bike is solidly built and feels very nice to handle. Set up was a breeze. The best part of this bike is the ease with my son learning to ride without the training wheels. We had him ride it like it suggests without the pedals on and after he was zooming around with the use of his legs, we popped on the pedals which is a super easy to put on and take off. After 2 days he was riding this bike without the training wheels and we are so proud. My son was so happy to be riding his bike like a big boy and can now ride with his big sister and keep up. I am so thoroughly impressed with the quality of this bike and the ease of learning to ride without training wheels. It’s worth the extra money to buy this bike versus the cheaper alternatives online. The bike is well built and should last a long time. Seats and handle bars are easy to adjust as your child grows too. The bike is super nice looking in person and certainly helps a child learn to ride without training wheels super quickly and successfully. I wish I had bought this bike the first time around as my son would surely had been off training wheels even sooner then 6 y/o. Don’t hestitate, this picky mom approves and I highly recommend this to other parents with kiddos who need a solid bike especially one for learning without the training wheels. We have had this bike for a month and my son uses it almost every day and it rides and looks just like it did when we first got it. Will update if anything changes since I rely on others reviews for making educated purchases on items.Update: We are now a little of 3 months of owning this bike and regular use. It is still holding up strong. Nothing has started to weaken or fail on us. The part where the pedals attach on to that moves the wheels with the pedal movement is still solid and sturdy. No signs of breakage like our other bikes did by this time. Still extremely happy with this bike and have recommended it to a few other parents who were happy to hear about this awesome bike. Hope this helps. 😊Update: This was our second summer with this bike. My son loves it and it still looks and rides great. I just am so happy buying bikes every couple months is no longer a trend i’m stuck in. This bike will certainly last until he has outgrown it. This has been a great purchase. It allowed my son to learn to ride without training wheel within days and has been a great bike almost daily use. Cannot go wrong with this one. Hope this helps you in making a decision if this bike is for you. I highly recommend to everyone with kids especially ones who want to get beyond training wheels.

Less than 24 hrs
The media could not be loaded. Amazing bike! My 5 year old had been using a Walmart bike last year. I tried to teach him to ride without training wheels but he could never get the balance. The year prior he had been using a balance bike. But it’s been over a year since he’s used it. I saw the reviews for this bike and decided to give it a try. After putting him on the bike I noticed he immediately had his balance. Less than 1 hour later I put on the peddles. He protested at first and struggled with peddling but within another hour was zooming around. This bike is well made and proportioned. The slightly wider tires make a difference I think too. If your young one is struggling with his current bike, try this one. The handle bar construction is a little strange and can shift if they wreck (just straighten and continue), but other than that It’s amazing.

All the reasons we love this bike:
This is a great bike at a reasonable price. My son is 4 years old, 42 inches (106cm) tall, with a 16 inch (41cm) inseam and we bought the 14 inch bike for him--which turned out to be the perfect size. Thank goodness we didn't go larger, as we debated doing. It's hard to find 14" bikes in stores to try on for size, so I hope that helps. He loves his new bike! He went from a Strider balance bike to this one, so we didn't use the training wheels, but here are my thoughts on the rest of it:1. Thick tires add stability. I'm sure the kids have to pedal more/harder, because of the added friction, but it's a great feature for kids learning to ride a bike without training wheels. We've gotten several comments from strangers about how amazed they were he was riding a two-wheeler and how much easier this bike looked due to the thick tires. (Some of his ability we owe to the strider balance bike, of course; it took him about 10 minutes to figure out how pedals worked, but other than that, he took off on this bike pretty readily. However, I think the thick tires definitely helped with the transition and continue to help him as a new rider.) Since his dad mountain bikes, my son loves going on the kiddie-level dirt trails "like my dad" and the tires on this bike are especially great for that kind of terrain.2. Sleek design. It really is an attractive bike and yes, kids care that their bike likes "cool." (We got the white bike.)3. Nice wide seat with a rim on the back. Comfortable, easy for kids to sit on and feel balanced and secure. This is something else I've heard comments about. ("What I wonderful wide seat!")4. Two sets of brakes--there is a hand brake on the handlebars, and the pedal brakes as well. I mostly see my son (4yo) use the pedals, but he says he uses both. If nothing else, I think he likes that it looks like his dad's bike. It's nice to have both options.5. I really like the the chain is enclosed with a plastic guard so he doesn't get caught in it or manage to pull it off. His pants don't get dirty and curious fingers don't get pinched. A neighbor kid always seems to have his (exposed) chain fall off and, so far, this hasn't been an issue at all with this bike.6. The seat goes so low. Another bike I looked at did not adjust as low, despite being the same size bike. That was a MUST for him at this stage, since it would have been too tall for him when he was just learning to ride and needed to be able to reach the ground. Of course, the seat raises, too.7. The bell broke in about a week's time. I don't know if it's because the attaching ring is just plastic, or if my son was too rough with it. That's disappointing, but doesn't affect the integrity of the bike itself, so...oh well. I worried that the water bottle holder, which is also plastic, would break with all the use; but so far it's held up great. Speaking of, the water bottle is a nice extra. Its not a make-or-break, but my son LOVES that he has his own real water bottle. He feels like he has a "real mountain bike" like his dad.Other than the bell breaking, I would be hard-pressed to find any complaint about this bike. We can hardly get my son off his bike. He'd sleep in his helmet if we'd let him, just so he'd be ready to ride at any given moment. If you're looking for a set of bike lights for safety, I really recommend these: The Friendly Swede Silicone 7 LED Bike Light Set, White and Red. They're great lights, inexpensive, very bright, easy to attach or remove, have several light pattern settings, and they fit nicely.

A Fun Ride with Some Considerations
We picked up this bike for our little one, and it's been a hit in terms of design and initial performance. The vibrant fuchsia color is a standout, and the sturdy steel frame gives it a solid feel. Assembly was straightforward, and the included training wheels made it easy for our child to start riding right away. However, we've noticed a couple of areas that could be improved. The bike is on the heavier side, which might make it a bit challenging for younger kids to maneuver. Additionally, the rear wheel seems prone to bending with regular use, which raises some concerns about long-term durability.Overall, it's a stylish and functional bike that our child enjoys, but be mindful of the weight and keep an eye on the wheel integrity over time.
