Four PawsMagic Coat Cleans & Conditions 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner, 16 Ounce

i absolutely love this shampoo. 7.5 years ago when i got my first dog, i tried several different shampoos (which weren't a good fit for us) before finding this one. now we have 5 dogs, and this is still the only dog shampoo i've used for the past 7 years. the scent is light and lovely, leaves my dogs with a smell i can only really describe as "clean," it lathers well (i keep an old bottle which i use to pre-mix a small amount of shampoo with water, just however much i need for that bath session), and it leaves my dogs' coats soft and well-conditioned, i don't even need to use conditioner. we have a variety of rescue dogs: a lab/husky mix, a staffy, a wiry terrier mix, a goldendoodle and a maltipoo, with both "fur" and "hair" coat types, and this shampoo is great for all of them.my only complaint (and it's kind of a major problem) is that there is no seal under the cap, and the cap twists off quite easily in shipping. this has lead to the past four of my orders of this from amazon to have either arrived leaked all over the box it was shipped in (arrived with about a half inch of shampoo still in the bottle), or else for the package to be sent back to amazon as "undeliverable" before even arriving to me. i tried again and just received a bottle which appears to have leaked before even being shipped to me, with evidence of the leak visible as water damage on the label, and about 1/3 of the shampoo in the bottle missing, although no evidence of leaks during the actual shipment to me. the lack of a seal on the bottle used to not be an issue, as i originally found and purchased this shampoo at my local pet store, but since moving 2 hours away i cannot find it in any stores near me. i am hesitant to even ask amazon about the missing 1/3 of the shampoo, because i don't want to have to send back the shampoo that i actually did receive when they try to send a replacement. my last replacement bottle was the one that had been delivered empty. i will continue to look for this shampoo elsewhere, as clearly it does not ship well (although this seems to be a more recent problem over the past year, i've had it delivered successfully before that).in the photos, i put a flashlight behind the bottle to show the level of shampoo in the bottle as it arrived to me.

Works well and lathers nicely. Scent is not overwhelming. Doesn't seem to agitate dogs eyes.

We rescued a Shar Pei mix from our local shelter a few years ago. We noticed right away how extremely sensitive skin is. Issues started quickly and we began talking with our vet about it. The vet just said he is sensitive and sold us an expensive shampoo. It worked okay at first, but issues worsened or new ones arose. I couldn't afford $20 a bottle for shampoo so I started looking for alternatives. We've tried everything from so called sensitive shampoos with oatmeal and up to stronger medicine ones. We've changed his food a while back to a natural brand. While in the our local pet shop I came across this shampoo (magic coat medicated) and took it home to try it. I'm very hesitant to use things on him that are "medicated" because many times manufactures use harsh astringents that dry his skin and make matters worse. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly the itching ceased. Then within the week rashes went away and his coat became very soft and thick. He also started smelling good. I've used this shampoo routinely for a few months now and have been very happy with the results. I bath him about 1-2 times a month. My dog is happy and really enjoys getting his bath.

My dog suffers from allergies and I was worried this would be too strong. It's not, it is mild and washes off easily. Keep my dog smelling nice.

I have been using this shampoo on my Yorkie for years now. It makes his coat so soft and smells so good. It doesn't bother his eyes if the shampoo gets in them. I highly recommend this shampoo.

Not too long ago, we found three abandoned kittens. So we took them in, and raised them up until they were full of energy and a bit rambunctious. Problem was that they were quite dirty and had their fair share of fleas. Luckily, this bottle had just come in the mail as I originally ordered it for my own cat. So we decided to give them all a bath. Everyone on Amazon has complimented the smell of the shampoo but to me, it kind of smelled like car soap? I would much prefer it to smell like baby shampoo than car soap so that was a little disappointing. Perhaps it's a new formula as one reviewer mentioned, but what would possess a company to turn it from baby smell to car smell? It doesn't seem like a good business ploy. Either way, scent aside, the shampoo worked great; it got rid of the dirt and their grimy coats. Not so much the fleas, but it slowed down their movement so that I could comb some of them out while in the bath.Bottom line, it works wonders. Made my own cat quite affectionate in her clean state and the kittens were nice and soft, I just hope they stay clean enough to find them new happy homes.

The scent isn't overwhelming, leaves the coat soft and it doesn't bother the little ones eyes.

I recieved this with the lid not on tight and it spilled out into the box.. It's very watery.. Wouldn't order again.
