I did a lot of research on cat trees before I purchased this one. What I liked about it was it's relatively narrow and tall size, and the fact that it is made from solid wood pieces and not particle board; also was a key deciding factor was that there was NO carpet. To me carpet would mean having to vacuum the perches and cubbies. Instead, I just wipe/dust this cat tree. The pillows in the cubbies are removable, which is great because I just throw them in the wash. AND, the size is perfect for an apartment.So, does my cats like it? You bet. Although the cubbies are a little too small for my large male cats (only con I noticed), my small female cat loves them. My large male cat loves the perches. And all cats use it for stretching and scratching.Also, it is very well constructed, easy to assemble and easy to disassemble for moving, which I have done. I would definitely buy again. Please note that I have had this cat tree for almost a year. My cats were also adults when I got it, although they didn't take to it immediately, they use it all the time now.

The top cubby is wobbly, but other than that this is a great tree. 2 of my cats love the cubbies and the 3rd cat loves to stretch out on the topmost wooden platform - its very spacious so she can stretch to her whole length.I love that the wooden platforms are solid wood - when they become to grimy you can take apart the tree and sand everything down or add a stain to it/paint it etc. and the posts can easily be re-sisaled from rope found at any hardware store.In short, cats LOVE it and it will look great for years. Solid investment.

Good tree. As kittens they used the two nooks but they stopped going in them as adults. They still love the tree and really prefer the top landing. After 2 years some of the posts are shredding from climbing/being used as a scratching post. Kinda messy. Wish I could replace those pieces (it costs a small fortune to order a few posts from the manufacturer and if you factor in a whopping $125 shipping charge you may as well just replace the whole thing).

My cat loves it! It is overall sturdy but wiggle a bit because of the height. I put a box of cat litter on the bottom. Problem solved. It is made of wood, non carpeted. It is beautiful and easy to clean! Best cat tree ever.

Least ugly cat tower out there without jumping into the 'designer' tower market. The kitties love it and one no longer sharpens his claws anywhere but on the posts of this tower. If only I could get the other one to do the same!
