I bought this as a book press for bookbinding and it works perfectly as long as I trim my pages first, or bind smaller than a folio. I love it. I’ve got a book pressing in it right now. And for smaller binds, I use small notepads to bulk it up.

I used this for edge painting my books not for the use of tofu. But for edge painting it worked extremely well. I adored every seconded of it however if your book is above average length it won’t fit

Works great, but is very "depressing." (Get it?)

I use this tofu press as a padding clamp for my notepads. I noticed it wasn't going down to the level I needed it at. So all I did was take the springs off and boom, I can adjust how low I needed it to go. It applies the perfect amount of pressure and is a great beginner clamp for those who are starting to make their own notepads.

This book press can’t handle larger books, and the quality isn’t great, but it works well for smaller books.
