Greatly improved the quality of our water. We haven't had an algae outbreak since we added it, either.

Great product, I put this in my pool once a year and get great results.

I just added approx. 20lbs (1/2 the container) to start, I do not recomment adding the whole 20 Lbs at once just because it was 40 lbs for a 10,000 gal pool! Always be conservative because you can add more but you have to drain water to get rid of it plus waste other chemicals too. Good thing I did, this morning I tested the borates (I bought borate test strips before from Taylor beforehand so I was ready) and it was 30 ppm, but just by happenstance I tested all my chemicals again including CYA and what was 50 ppm before (added 4 lbs CYA at refill) and now it's testing at 90 ppm WHOLLY SMOKES! I checked online to find this specific product has CYA in it and I didn't know that now I'm at the upper limits of CYA which can begin to interfere with FC sanitizing (lock). I use liquid chlorine so I can avoid the CYA build up problems you get from the tablet from which can rise swiftly in AZ sun. They state it reduces the required chlorine calculation of 7.5% of the CYA ppm to 5%, well guess what it was 3.75 ppm and now it's 4.5 ppm. I don't know who in their chemistry dept didn't factor CYA in the pool already into consideration! I will not be adding anymore of the Borates from this product to say the least.

All my algae disappeared and my pool is completely algae free! Brilliant!

Hard to discern any difference in the water after using this stuff. Seems to feel better. From water chemistry standpoint, filter performance, can't tell if any real difference. Pretty expensive so not sure I'd buy again.

My pool guy says this is the “bees knees” of pool maintenance. I ordered two buckets and dumped it all in. Very expensive! It is a super fine powder. Pool guy said it will stick to walls of the pool and dissolve over time.
