Worth the extra shipping!
My first baby was born while we were stationed in Germany, and she had issues with a lot of different diaper brands giving her rashes, as well as getting a rash under her neck from drooling so much while she was teething. This stuff cleared up every rash she had virtually overnight (they were always gone within 2-3 days). When we moved back to the States and had our second child, we received a lot of American products, but they were all too thick (both Desitin and Boudreaux's are like paste), didn't wipe off gently (it felt like they caused more damage than the good they did), and didn't work nearly as well (took at least a week for the rash to clear up--might as well have not been using anything). I gladly pay the extra shipping cost to get this stuff sent from Germany and refuse to use anything else anymore!

Best cream ever - would never buy anything else!
I was raised with this product many years ago, and as a new mother myself went immediately to Penaten for baby cream. It works spectacularly - I use a dab when redness just starts, and it takes care of everything before it's an issue. The only sad thing is that it is not sold in US stores...thank goodness for Amazon! This will be a staple in our home - and this size container will last us a VERY long time, since you only need a very small amount to get desired results. Although this says "baby" cream, I noticed no specific difference between this and the original tins. Thank you Penaten!

Not as thick as traditional Penaten
I love Penaten Cream. I was hoping this was as thick as the cream in the metal can but it's much thinner like your average diaper rash cream. It doesn't seem to be quite as good as the one in the tin can but still better than any diaper rash cream that I've tried in the store. My mother used this on my sister when she was a baby while stationed in Germany in the late 80's. We purchased it from a German store. I was glad to see it's available here at Amazon Prime.

Used for Years
Greatest stuff ever! Used it on my children Years ago for diaper rash and heat rash. Now I’m a very large 59 yr old lady. And it has been wonderful for preventing, well just call it “ overhang issues”Apply to the area after bathing and it is amazing. Calcium bentonite clay on top of it really helps too. But even alone it’s just the best

Best diaper rash treatment/preventative
I served in the US Army in Germany several years ago, and became familiar with many local product used there. One of the most popular and commonly seen is Penaten (Pen-not-ten) cream, a white, zinc oxide based product, used universally for protecting baby's bottoms from diaper rash. It also soothes existing rash as well as or better than A&"*" ointment. It can be, and commonly is used around the world as a sun block by outdoor lifeguards and others. This review was prompted by the request from my son for a soothing remedy for my 18 month old granddaughter's sore bottom. Best answer, "Penaten Cream".

Seems to work
Very thick cream. Seems to work but ultimately went with a better product that heal my baby's butt sores that I can order from a local pharmacy.

Great product just too liquidy, prefer the thicker one in the tin
I grew up using penaten from my relatives in Germany. I usually try the Creme that comes in the tin however I wanted to try this one. It's a lot more liquidy then the tin creme. It still does it's job and an amazing one at that, however I like the thicker Creme better than this one.

Fantastic, as expected
Excellent cream. This cream is great for everything but especially moisture based issues. Great for keeping men's undercarriage dry. Very good for summer rashes and athletes foot. Quickly soothes burns and rashes. Is a reasonable replacement for bepanthen (although the petroleum based penaten is a closer resemblance to Bepanthen).Germany really knows their creams. This is an excellent water based barrier cream, thinner than the original penaten. The original is petroleum based and also excellent.
