Lately, I am really into the wool socks as I find them to be more comfortable and softer than cotton socks. I bought both the vintage solid socks and the owl socks. I don't find either of these socks to be what I would consider to be thick or very warm since I have others that are much thicker. As for warmth, I don't think any of the "wool" socks are overly warm as all of them are made from blends of different fibers which include cotton, spandex, wool from different source, etc. Both of the socks that I bought are soft and fit well. The length is about to just under the calf which is a good length for me. The elastic at the top isn't a problem for me, but it may make lines on the legs of someone that has a problem with water retention or diabetes. They do make lines on my legs, but this is only something that I noticed and not anything that I feel. For both sets of socks that I got, I like the variety of color as I try to match the colors of my t-shirts and shoes. Overall, I am very happy with both sets of socks.UPDATE 6/17/18I like these socks so much that I bought another set of them. As mentioned previously, they are not at all heavy and can be used in any season. They are soft and very comfortable, and, so far, there has been no shrinkage in the laundry, I don't give them any special treatment, and wash them with my regular laundry, I am still very happy with these socks and would recommend them.UPDATE 03/07/20:I have been wearing these socks about a year, and still wash them with my regular laundry in warm wash/cold rinse. In this time, 2 of the socks have lost the elasticity in the tops and looks stretched out. I still wear them, and they don't fall down, but thought this was worth mentioning. I still very much like these socks.I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update it if my opinion changes. Like most things, nothing lasts forever.

I’m a female and wear a size 10 shoe. These socks could fit up to a women’s 12 or men’s 10. They do not stretch very much. They are not ultra thick. They feel like 100% cotton in that there isn’t a lot of give and they feel really absorbent. They are good quality. The calves are pretty tight putting them on, so if you have wide calves or wide ankles I wouldn’t recommend. They are super comfortable and soft. No to mention they are really cute. I’ve been trying to find some similar ones that go up to mid calf, but you can’t find them in packs for reasonable prices so I settled for these. I’m happy with my purchase

After placing a third order for these socks, I figured it was time for a review. Be aware - I purchase the solid color socks (green, pink, etc). I discovered that some of the patterned socks do not fit me the same way. I was pleasantly surprised at just how much I like these socks. I feel a little like Goldilocks writing this because I keep wanting to say “just right” for everything. The fiber blend (they are not 100% wool) makes them comfortable without being overly heavy or so thin my shoes rub. I get overheated easily which is a big pain when your feet are cold but putting heavy socks on makes you hot. But these are fabulous! My feet aren’t frozen to the hardwood floors and don’t end up too hot and sweaty (gross). Even in warm weather these are comfortable for me to wear when I’m wearing sneakers. I will say they do not work well for me for hiking boots or riding boots. I need something heavier and/or longer for those. They do fit as expected, stay up without binding tightly around my ankle and have held their shape and fit through multiple washings and months of wear. Mine have worn holes in the heels after a few months, but to be fair I probably wear any given pair twice a week. For the price these are worth it for “value priced” socks. I got every penny’s worth out of them and will continue to buy them for every day wear socks.

I like the colors. I like the fiit. They did not feel too tight and provided a lot of extra room in the toe area. My feet stayed warm and dry. And they are comfortable to sleep in. I havent washed them yet.The socks were washed and they wash well. There was not too much shrinkage and they are breatheable and warm.

I've been wearing these socks several times a week for the past month with my Birks, and I love them! Nice and warm, even when we got surprised with snow in Yellowstone. They fit great, even after several washes, though I should note that I wear a size 6.5. I didn't notice any shrinkage after washing on cold and drying on normal. When I lose several of these (which I will LOL), I'm buying more!

I like these socks, they fit me well. They are warm, not tight around the ankle, the colors are very nice. One of the socks came with a run at the toe, I was able to fix it. A couple of the seems irritate my toes, I'm hoping I'll get use to it or the seems will soften up. The socks are not as soft as I thought they would be.

Good length and stretch.

For the price, I wasn't expecting much. BUT WOW! These are absolutely perfect. So comfy and keep my feet warm, but not too warm. The material is very breathable so you don't have the issue of your feet sweating too much. I bought this as "lounge socks" while I am working from home or hanging out on the weekend. Fit my needs and will be using them as boot socks in the winter! They aren't too think, which is exactly how I like my boot socks. They wash/dry very well too!
