Great purchase. Hits the sweet spot between functionality, style and price. Buy it.
For anyone searching for a goose-neck kettle with variable temperature settings all at a reasonable price while looking stylish too, I think this is a great choice. This is my first goose-neck/temp-controlled kettle and I am not disappointed.Positives+ Stylish appearance, looks nice in my kitchen and my wife agrees+ Boils fast+ Intuitive controls+ Great features: temperature controls with customisable presets, temperature hold, continues to display temp after boiling so you know how hot the water is if you were away from your kettle after boiling+ Goose-neck is great for pour over coffeeNegatives (if I had to be picky)- The base isn't as stylish as the rest of the kettle- The cable runs directly away from behind the base so it cannot sit flush with the wall- The waterproof cover for the base is practical but not sure if it's really needed and some may consider an eye sore but you hardly notice it- I couldn't immediately figure out how to change the temp setting between C/F as I thought the kettle had to be switched on first. It works by pressing the C/F button before switching on for boil. Thankfully the seller provided great support to explain this to me - thank you SOGO UK!If this is your first goose-neck kettle purchase I'd note two things:Firstly, the kettle has a smaller capacity compared to what you may be used to so if you're doing a round of tea for guests (more than 2 people), or wanting to fill up a saucepan with hot water, then you will have to boil the kettle a few times - but keep in mind it boils pretty fast so not a huge issue.Secondly, as it's a goose-neck kettle water doesn't come out so fast - which is of course the whole point for pour overs and the like, but, you may be used to filling up a mug in a flash for a quick cup of tea with a regular kettle, whereas with this kettle you will notice the difference - again not a huge issue but something to be aware of. Perhaps the slow water flow from the goose-neck will remind you to take things easy and not be in such a rush, to enjoy your drink and the moment ...

Dangerous item!
I purchased this kettle a few months ago. One day it suddenly started making a burnt-plastic smell and some smoke came from the bottom. I tried to have it fixed, but I was advised that the hazards would be too high and not worth the risk. Not what you would expect for the price. I loved this kettle up until then, I was hoping it would have lasted longer than a few months.

One year on…
Hi. I couldn’t find where else to leave this comment- I just got this kettle and water is leaking from the handle. Please advise.Completely beautiful and a joy to use otherwise.Thank you.Updated- 27 June 21It’s chipping and leaking and is very unsafe because it leaks so much. Very unhappy. Need to buy a new kettle now. Very disappointed.

Poor quality
Accidentally purchase two when we ordered and were quite happy. Noticed after. A few months that there was a tiny leak where the spout joins the main body.Decided to switch out the extra one and within 2 weeks had the same problem.Bad quality control or workmanship, I’m unsure. But either way you should expect more at this price. Also found the button display plastic coating wrinkles.Overall feels like a very cheap product masquerading under a high price as quality.
