Added this to the grass once a year and it helps build the durablity of the grass as well as adding to the greenness and toughness of the grass. Applying this around september time has helped with the quality of my lawn. Another advantage is it helps suppress the growth of moss in the lawn. I dilute it down and apply sparingly all over my lawn. It takes 5 boxes too complete the whole lawn but is definitely great value for money.

I use Ferrous Sulphate for killing moss on my lawn.It works really well and is the main additive in most proprietary products. I put two tablespoons of powder in 10 litres of water and apply with watering can fitted with sprinkle bar. Or, use a sprayer. Moss turns black within hours!Caution. Don’t use on paths as the iron sulphate will discolour ( brown stain) . Also the solution will stain hands and clothing , so care needed. Stains can be brought into home on footwear until after rainfall.

I like using this sulphate for all my flowering bushes. It gives them a boost to grow changes colour of the flowers. I love it.

As you can see, the box product shot says Easy to use granules, but in the box is a fine pale green powder like icing sugar and blows away on a windy day. Looks like they changed the product but did not update the box!
