I have to replace these chargers every few months. This is a poor design by Fitbit. I found these to be an affordable alternative to the Fitbit OEM and they last just as long.

I thought my sense was DOA but upon closer inspection it was the charger. The 4 prongs are spring loaded and if one gets depressed it won’t make contact and your sense is not going to charge. I was just ready to scream “planned obsolescence” but then found a replacement charger for less than $10 and now I’m back in business with my sense reminding me of all of my short comings- I don’t sleep enough, I don’t get enough exercise, blah blah blah. Maybe I should have not found a replacement charger. I might, in its absence, feel better about myself.

I bought this charger to charge my Fitbit Sense. The original charger from Fitbit also didn’t last very long and I replaced it with one of these. It lasted about a month. I don’t blame the charger. It is Fitbit’s poor design for charging the Sense. The pins that attach to the back of the Sense magnetically are very fragile and either break or get pushed into the charger easily. If all four pins are not able to attach to the Sense, it will not charge. I’ve learned to be really careful when charging my Sense. This charger works well and is great for the price. I’ll see how long the pins last before I have to order another one. Either that or throw away the Sense and get a different Fitbit.
