Product was well packed and shipped, delicious when baked!
I think I am a francophile at heart. I love french coffee, perfume and pastries. On weekends I love a special cup of cafe au lait and a nice flaky crossaint or two while I catch up with the news and e-correspondence. Unfortunately I live in rural SE Iowa. Not exactly a mecca of good bakeries, especially of french pastry. We have a local chain grocery that has a bakery. For a while they carried a decent croissant, if you put it on a baking sheet and heated it in the oven for a few minutes. Then, as most companies do, they decided to try something new, cheaper, and easier for their bakers. The result was a slimy grease bomb rather than a nice flaky pastry. While I complained to the corporate office in West Des Moines, it predictably didn't result in an improved product. What's an imaginary French diva to do? Granted, I could bake my own from scratch. I have and it did result in a tasty end result. But, if you've ever made good French style croissants you know they are time consuming and a lot of work. More than I really want to do for 2-4 little pastries on a relaxing weekend.Plan B, my expert googlefoo abilities. After all, what is the internet for if not to find a good pastry?!? I thought if I could find a high quality frozen product I could keep in my deep freeze and bake as wanted/needed, it would solve my dilemma. My search lead me to the Bridor brand and to Amazon. These are perfect! They shipped in spectacular packaging that was well insulated and packed with dry ice (gone by the time it reached me but the product was still frozen solid). I wouldn't order them to ship to me in warm weather unless I paid for express shipping. But for winter I wasn't concerned. With a quantity of 160 I won't need to reorder until next fall or so. Yes, they are all packaged together. I repacked them in smaller freezer bags so that I can use them as needed with less concern for freezer burn damage. But I expected that. The finished (baked) product is delicious and worth the extra work. My pastry problem is solved!

Wonderful product delicious
Wonderful product delicious! The only suggestion is they package them a little better. They arrived in one big lump of croissants! Just work out but they could do better.

Inspired by the good reviews, we took the risk and ordered this ...
Ever since we moved to the US, we were looking for decent croissants that were fluffy, buttery and crispy. Inspired by the good reviews, we took the risk and ordered this box of croissants. It paid off: These croissants are perfect and taste great. While we were worried that they would take up a lot of space in the freezer, the box is actually not really that big because the croissants are pretty small when frozen and rise during baking.BTW: We got the perfect, fluffy croissants by thawing them overnight in the fridge, then letting their temperature rise to room temp 20-30 minutes before baking and then baking 20 minutes at 340F (170C) in a convection oven.
