Great Portable Power for the Price *UPDATED*
*UPDATED 6 Months Later*I am so pleased with this little generator. Since my original review of using this generator for running compressor and power tools, I finally had the opportunity to run it for the purpose I bought it for; running a small air conditioner at my no-power hunting camp. The generator performed exactly as expected, and was able to run the small 5,000 BTU air conditioner as well as some lights and providing me an AC outlet in my hunt camp camper for my phone charger for 6+ hours in 90 degree temperatures on the one gallon of gas. The generator is light enough for me to transport wherever I need it, so I have used it to run power tools on other "in the woods" projects to run my saw and nailer, electric landscaping tools and other plug-in equipment at my hunting stands. My latest experiment involved trying to run the electric systems on my 17" popup camper on this generator. With the 13,500 BTU rooftop air conditioner, as well as the Absorption-type fridge, and the main lights (2x LED banks) the generator was able to run everything. Once the AC ran through its start up cycle (large, temporary draw) and went to steady draw of about 1300 watts to run, I was able to run everything in eco mode, and did not overload the generator. I am incredibly pleased with the output of this generator and the small fuel consumption, small footprint, and relatively quiet operation. I would definitely purchase this again if I had need to replace this unit, or if I had increased power consumption.*ORIGINAL REVIEW*I purchased this generator on a Lightning Deal. It was a little bigger than what I wanted. I needed a small generator to run a 5000 BTU window AC on a camper I use at hunt camp. I was looking at the smaller Genmax generator (1200) but saw this one at basically the same price. This last weekend I had the opportunity to put it through its paces helping a friend build a cabin on a remote property he has. This generator was able to run a compressor (to run a framing nailer) as well as a chop saw for cutting dimensional lumber for framing, and a circular saw for cutting zip board. We even had an extra outlet we used to charge power tool batteries. The generator would struggle just a little bit if the air compressor and the chop saw ran at the same time, but it would catch up quickly and push on through. We ran the generator continuously for 6 hours on the single tank of gas. While its primary purpose will be to run the AC unit, I am now confident that I will be able to also run lights and perhaps even some appliances at the hunt camp trailer. The generator was quiet enough to be able to have a conversation standing next to it without really raising your voice. In fact, it was quieter than either the air compressor or the chop saw when they were running. All in all, I am very happy with its performance over the weekend, and I'm sure it will be more than adequate for what it was originally purchased for.

Excellent value
After spending days researching and reviewing Generator/Inverters to use in our RV, I finally decided on the GenMax 3200. Initially I was leaning on smaller 2500 watt units, i.e. Champion, Generac, etc because I felt it would be enough to run the RV A/C, and because of the light weight of ~40 lbs, but all those units were just 80cc engines, and I knew the unit would have to always run on high speed mode to power the A/C.When I found this unit, I was impressed with the 145cc engine, the extra 500 watts, AND it weighed just 47 lbs. And the price was just $550. So I put it in my shopping cart and left it there for a few days to really think about it. All the reviews were pretty good, and there are some good youtube videos that praised it as well. I finally clicked the "checkout" button on Saturday, and it arrived today, the following Tuesday. Wow! And no damage. So I fill it with oil and a little gas, and after 3 or 4 pulls, it started right up. Hooked it up to the camper and ran the A/C fine, but being just 50 outside, I don't think the compressor ever kicked on, so a real test will have to wait a couple months although I have no doubt it will run the A/C just fine. I plugged in an 1875 watt hair dryer, and that got it's attention, but it simply speeded up it's RPM to accommodate for it. The vibration caused it to slide around a bit on our slick concrete porch at high RPM's.I am impressed with the build quality and so far, the performance. I'd rather buy domestic, but nothing comes close to the value of the Chinese units (as long as it holds up). I have had good luck with other Chinese generators & tools, as they have come a long way in their quality control, so hopefully I will have no regrets. Even the owner's manual is excellent without the typical bad grammer/spelling. Time will tell, but so far I really like this unit. It is the same as the SPERUS 3200 and the MaXpeedingRods 3200.As a plus, this unit will easily fit in the compartment under our RV bed as it 's just about 17" high, so I have about an inch to spare. Of course I will take it outside to use it.

No support from Amazon or Manufacturer
My Genmax 1200i was delivered yesterday. The packaging was in good condition. The generator was securely packed. Everything was in the box that was listed. I added oil and gas. It started I believe on the 3rd pull. Ran great with the eco on and off. Plugged in some test devices. It shut off after about an hr. Checked the oil- good. Checked the gas- good. Made sure the gas was turned on, I'm old, I forget lol. Started right up. Would run 15 min - 2 hrs and shut off. Contacted Amazon for product support. They referred me to the manufacturer after some stupid unrelated questions from their customer service. Contacted the manufacturer. Waiting........... I will update when or if anyone gets back to me. Right now I suggest you not buy a generator from Amazon. They don't care.Update: Still no response from manufacturer. I have not been able to talk to a live person, only leave messages.Update: It's been 4 days I didn't hear from the manufacturer. Called Amazon again 1st person transferred me, 2nd hung up after telling me nothing they could do. I called back, transferred. I was given a different number for the manufacturer. I finally got a real person. They are going to send me a new CO sensor. Nothing as of today. I guess I'm on my own.Received nothing. 3/26/2024I suggest no one buy a generator from Amazon. They don't allow returns on any generator. You have a 50/50 chance of getting a generator that works. I can't afford them odds. I'm still able to charge my batteries, sometimes for 10 minutes sometimes I get an hr+. That's unacceptable. Will not run! This has been a piece of sh*t since day 1.
