One of the world’s great authors
It’s a great book, but the cover was smudged on the back, and there was NO dust cover. Just beware you won’t get a perfect book.

All in one place
I thought the binding could have been a little more generous. A book this thick needs a little more paper in the binding to make the pages easier to read and stay open.

Third and guys growing up long ago
Truly a classic, this series of books tells the imaginary tale of four sisters growing up. It then goes on to tell of their adult lives and the children they raised. Set in long ago times, the notes and manners are different.. And refreshing.

Little Men
Good story, just moved a little slow for me. You can't help loving how Jo sees the good in all the boys.

A walk down memory lane
I read these as a young girl growing up~almost mandatory, to learn how to be a good person. Gone are the days of high ideals and morality.

wonderful writing, wonderful lessons.
I wish I had read this book when I was younger, so many wonderful lessons. Ms. Alcott's writing is so relatable in today's world, setting good examples of morality, compassion, empathy, respectfulness and love of community. This should be mandatory reading for all high schoolers!

All of the novels
I haven't read the book yet, but I like the fact that all of the stories about the March family are in one large hard cover book.

Not as I remember these books
I read these stories as a child. I thought it would be a nice trip down memory lane as I had just finished reading and enjoying several William books and Swallows and Amazons.I tried to read all of the four books but I must admit it was hard going and had to miss out and skip over whole chapters. Not a good read. An aquired taste I think.Back to Hornblower for my next nostalga fix

Oh how I enjoyed 're-reading these books
Although I first read them as a twelve year old, fifty years on and they are still a delightful read. You should try it.

Excellent
A long saga but the best read ever. Well written and told I just couldn’t get enough! So beautiful I didn’t want it to end.

I wish I'd stuck with the first book only
Little Women is an ok read, light, undemanding story, but in the subsequent volumes the saccharine mixes badly with the heavy handed moralising.

all the full stories in the series in one book
The book may be large and rather heavy but it has all the stories in the series in one place. Great.
