Renovo Soft Top Reviver (Black) 1 Litre For Convertible Soft Top Car Roof

I bought a 14 year old Audi A4 convertible, the hood was OK but looking a bit sad. Cleaned it with Autoglym cleaner, which I've used before and is good, and then re-coloured with the Renovo, took 2 coats and most of the 1 litre bottle. Finished with Autoglym waterproofer, the Renovo version getting some unfavourable reviews. Obviously, doesn't look like new, I think a replacement top is about £1k, but for around £50 total cost and a bit of effort it doesn't look 14 years old either.

I have recently bought an Audi A4. cab with a black roof which I felt could do with sprucing up. As the product indicates that it will bring back even very faded tops to their original black I was confident it would do the job on my only slightly faded roof. After two coats and almost a whole litre there is absolutely no improvement, in fact it may look slightly worse. I followed the instructions to the letter and even went to the trouble of masking surrounding paintwork and glass with newspaper but still managed to get small spatters on the car. If you do decide to go for it I would recommend masking the car carefully as it is an absolute nightmare to remove later. I eventually had to use cutting compound to get it off followed up by a polish. All in all a quite expensive and very time consuming task. On the upside my paintwork has never looked better.

We bought a Porsche Boxster with a grey roof and really wanted to change it to black. Cost of a new roof was around £1,000 so decided to give this a go. We used the cleaner first, then the restorer and will finish with the ultra proofer. So far have put 3 coats of the restorer on and it looks fantastic - just like a new roof. I wish I'd found this when I had my last soft top as it had started to fade.

Take to coats, but lasted the year
