Blooming great NAS
Firstly this exceeded my expectations. I’ll openly admit I’m a massive nerd at times and I spent ages reasearching NAS’s to replace the old WD cloud storage which is way too restrictive and limited.Anyway, I found this amazing bit of kit, found out about unraid and the ability to run docker instances from the box and just blown away with the scope and performance of the little box and it’s so quite but sleek looking.I’ve got this connected to my home network at the moment so it’s limited to 1Gb but the ability to upgrade this later to up to 10Gb is a massive plus. Also that being said even at 1Gb file transfer is very fast and performance is excellent.Connecting the SD in was a breeze and once up and running it was quite easy to start storing data, setting up plex, deluge, jacket and other docker apps to help with storing and sorting files, as well as downloading any missing shows etc. There is little to no noise, a benefit of it being a SD based NAS and no spinning disks. All in all, this is an amazing find and if you’re serious about storage needs, wanting fast performance, want to nerd out a bit then this is for you. If you struggle with tech it may be a bit tricker to get setup and make use of all the bells and whistles but will do pretty much what you want out the box after the initial setup of the storage array

Affordable all SSD Network Attached Storage with Unraid / Virtualisation
I just purchased the LincStation N1 and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I feel this is a cheaper and more versatile competitor compared to Asustor Flashstore that I have decided to skip on in favour of the LincSation N1. This device has exceeded all my expectations in terms of performance and software flexibility.Firstly, the setup was a breeze. I appreciated the user-friendly interface and straightforward instructions, which allowed me to get up and running in no time. Whether you're a tech novice or an experienced user, you'll find the setup process to be seamless. Easy to install the storage drives and setup the unit via network cable is simple. *Did not test the WiFi yet, as its only available via hardware passthrough only.In terms of performance, the LincStation N1 truly shines. Its powerful hardware ensures smooth and lag-free operation. (4 core CPU + 16GB RAM helps a lot, as most of the competitor in this price range only offers 4 or 8GB ram) I've experienced no slowdowns or hiccups whatsoever, which is a testament to the device's reliability in my opinion. Moreover, I have tested the 2.5GbE network connection on large media files, and I'm delighted to see that I consistently achieve transfer speeds between 250-280MB/s, which is exactly what I expected from this interface. (See pictures attached) It's reassuring to see the device perform so reliably under heavy network traffic. In the future, I intend to add larger drives and utilize Unraid's VM feature to install a Windows server. Then, this will even allow me to run a business backup software called; Veeam backup solutions. Configuring immutable backup storage in my home lab environment, I can safeguard all my work and projects, providing an added layer of protection against ransomware attacks. I can't wait to test out this configuration once my budget allows for larger NVMe drives. I can update my review on that later on of someone is interested. I'm impressed by the device's ability to handle such demanding tasks. With 16GB of RAM, it's more than capable of running a full-blown Windows VM alongside the Unraid OS, providing a seamless and efficient workflow. If you are on a market for a home storage NAS, this device is also perfect as storing media files, pictures or running applications like Plex is a breeze. This unit can fulfil any users home needs. I tested some docker features as well, works as expected. This one unit can do all for me. It will be my NAS Storage, Host for my virtual server and docker images and Plex as my home media server. I could stream 4K video content to my apple tv without any issues using Plex.Overall, I highly recommend the LincStation N1 to anyone in need of a reliable and versatile media player and storage solution. Its exceptional performance, ease of use, and robust features make it a standout choice in its category. Five stars without a doubt! Get this instead of QNAP or Asustor Flashstore product if you want to save some money.

Well... it is what I wanted... almost...
The LincStation N1 overall does a great job, but there are a few points to consider. The Intel N5105 processor is decent, but when running multiple Docker containers and VMs, it starts to struggle. A more powerful processor, like the N100, would have been more suitable for my use. However, for lighter tasks, the N5105 performs well enough. One thing to note about the Unraid OS: this device comes with the starter license, not the basic one as previously expected from some older purchases. The basic license is no longer available, which makes sense, but it’s something to be aware of. You will need to factor in the cost of upgrading the license after the first year if you need more features. For now, I’m extending the Unraid trial until I’m ready to redeem the provided license.A tip for buyers: avoid cheaper SSDs like the Fikwot 4TB SSD SATA. I had to return mine as the endurance (TBW) was decreasing rapidly. Always check for SSDs with at least 600TBW for better reliability.Overall, it's a solid NAS, but the processor and future OS licensing are things to keep in mind depending on your usage needs.
