Yes a protective shell fits
When I saw this advertised I thought need to get one. I have three large dogs and a couple of times they have caught/knocked my portal when it's been charging. My only concern was would my portal fit with its Spigen hard shell protective case. I took the game and YES is does. I can't say other shells will work but mine does. Now the case. PS endorsed so that's a good start. The case is a hard shell with the PS logo. It has a darkish blue material for the handle and zipBoth are of a good quality. Inside there is a protective cover for the screen which is held in place by two velcro straps. And then this has a pocket where the USB and if you want a charging bank can sit.Over all a really good case that II can now charge my portal in that will keep it secure and risk free from the mutts

Great case for the Portal
The case is quite big and bulky but needs to be to protect the Portal and it does have a carry handle and the portal fits nicely into the moulded sections insideIt’s also got a hard outer shell to protect the portal and is an officially licensed case tooAnd a place to put charging cable alsoQuite an expensive case but highly recommended and worth the extra money for the protection it offers :)

Best Portal charging base on the market.
Excellent charger. Nice hefty weight so no chance of it tipping over. Chargers the portal fairly quickly too. To Marc, who also reviewed and marked it down because the lights are too bright at night, if I you swipe down on the back of the unit stand you can change the colour of the lights or turn them off altogether, so not really an issue. The only thing I wish was that powerA sold a compatible female “magsafe” adapter for a USB C cable so you don’t have to remove the dongle from the portal if you want to travel with the portal and don’t went to take the entire charging base with you.

Robust
This case offers great protection for your Portal.Love than you can Velcro your Portal in case you lift the case open by accident your Portal will always be safe. Hard shell protects against impact specially during travel. Love this product

One of those things you never knew you needed!
Have waited nearly 5 months for Amazon to deliver this one for me, with almost no updates. Plus was £5 cheaper than I paid (on a gift voucher and never saw a refund of that fiver, thanks Amazon. The LED strip light is a bit annoying and even with instructions, haven’t worked out how to turn it off. However, with the limited battery on the PlayStation Portal, this is actually a god send. Play, dock, play, always ready, charges quickly and easily. Get far more use out of the handheld now than I ever did.

Great looking and functional case.
Great official case - even has a opening for charging while the portal is strapped in safely in the case - well made and good protective case

Great case for the portal
All though quite expensive this a great superior case for the portal, interior shaped to fit the portal perfect keeping my portal secure and free from movement and love the section in the front so you can charge the portal whilst in the case.
