This drive is incredibly small and very fast considering its large storage size of 86b. Using the usb C port on my computer, it works as fast as my slower m.2 cards. I use it as a backup drive because it's form factor makes it easy to store in my laptop case. The other amazing thing is that during my backup, the drive remains cool, barely warm to the touch. Samsung did an amazing thing designing this drive. This will be my first of many. I also have owned a 4tb version of this card since it came out. I don't remember it being this fast.

It's especially handy for storing photos and videos—there's plenty of room, and moving them around is quick and easy.This also makes a great "emergency" drive. You can load it with critical files—photos, documents, medical history, bank records, anything you absolutely can’t afford to lose—and just stash it somewhere safe. If you ever need to leave in a hurry or your main system fails, you can just grab it and go.
