Happy Jack Skin Balm
I had used this product many years ago, when I had a dog with extreme skin problems. I had spent a fortune at the vet's office to no avail. I saw this in a Happy Jack catalog, and tried it. The results were amazing. His skin healed up and his hair grew back. When I took him back to the vet, he couldn't believe it. He asked me what I used and said he would order some right away.A few months ago one of my dogs had a hot spot at the top of her tail that she was itching against a tree, and the spot was becoming bald. So I went to trusty Amazon and found the product again, luckily. No more itching and the hair grew right back. It is a little bit oily, but I don't really care as long as it works!

Wonderful product and my Husky gets instant relief.
Old Husky with some hot spots, this has now after steady use 3mo, stopped all new areas and fur growing back. He likes it too as it clearly soothes his skin.

Good results
pleased with the results so far. Scratching has decreased, but a couple of areas still need attention. Need just bit more time.

All that hair!
This is helping with Bears few hot spots that he has. It is a full time job just trying to manage his grooming! 🤪Recommend!

Best relief
I tried many products before I found this one. My poor dog was scratching and was miserable. I bought this and she loves it. When I show it to her, she lays down for me to rub her stomach, which is the infected area. Her hair is growing back and she is so happy. BTW, I took her to the vet first, but, nothing they gave me worked.

No longer lists Mercaptobenzothiazole as the active ingredient
Mercaptobenzothiazole, which was the "active ingredient" in this for many years is no longer listed on the label as an ingredient at all. The only reason I ordered this in the first place is because Sulfodene® has been worthless for hotspots since they removed 2-mercaptobenzothiazole from their actives and this was the only remaining product that (supposedly) still had it.It never even occurred to me to read the ingredient label, since most brands will loudly scream from the rooftops that they have a NEW and IMPROVED formulation. I looked because after two days of my dogs hotspot not showing improvement, I figured there had to be a reason. And sure enough, there was - they changed the formulation, never announced the change and allowed those of us who have faithfully used their product to remain in the dark about how ineffective they have made it.Unfortunately, this is only returnable in it's original condition and since I opened it to use on my dog, thinking it was the same product as before, I'm now out $17.50 plus tax for a product that is all but useless. I cannot recommend the "NEW and IMPROVED" formulation.
