Well-designed, easy to use
This bike basket is the nifty-est thing I've seen in a while! Well-designed, super-easy to install/remove, cute and functional! A reviewer mentioned that if the handles manage to pop up while riding over bumps, the basket could come loose, so I made sure that wouldn't happen by using equally-nifty Quirky Bandits (think rubber bands w/hooks) that can be removed easily when I park the bike [see picture]. It actually takes me a little longer to remove the Bandits than to remove the basket itself (mere seconds!), when I take it into the store with me.When I shop I always bring reusable bags, so there's no issue of items bouncing out when riding back home since they're contained in a bag. But if you don't use a bag, I can see how the mesh bottom would be useful to contain smaller items that might otherwise fall out. Another nifty feature :)

Rattles can be mitigated with an easy modification.
My wife has been requesting a basket for our daily rides around town. I prefer the styling of the other classic baskets, but we have practical boring hybrid bikes, so this basket seemed practical and meshed with the style of her bike.Installation was a snap on the hybrid bike. I had to remove a front reflector, and reposition the bell. Not a big deal. The basket has a nice volume and feels sturdy. It was nice that this basket attaches to 3 points on the handle bar frame, not the axle. Our bikes have suspension, so front axle mounting is not an option. Some people complain their basket fell off. On our bikes, I am certain there is no possibility of dislodging during our urban usage. The 3 points of attachment are very tightly secured. Some people complain the basket rattles. Due to the basket's detachment feature there are several points of metal-on-metal movement that create rattles. The noise was similar to a shopping cart in the parking lot. I took some high quality 3M vinyl tape and wrapped it around the interfaces where the basket moves on the mounting frame of metal. Viola, rattles are gone.

Easily falls off of the bike
When I was installing this basket, which is a nice-looking product, I noticed it was really easy to remove from the bike. At first, I thought that was a great feature--just raise the two basket handles, and it is easy to unhook from the base (to take into a store for shopping, for example). It's much easier to remove from the bike than our other bike baskets that are removable. However, the first time using the basket, it fell off of the bike when going over a bump in the road. So, I attached the bike to the base with zip ties, and zip-tied the handles down so they won't raise. The basket is no longer removable. My advice to shoppers is to avoid this basket if you want a removable basket, and get a different brand. If you don't need a removable basket, realize that you will need some zip-ties to keep this on the bike, or buy something else. To the company? Work on the design to make sure that what looks good in theory actually works in practice.

Fits on my Razor e300s scooter
My wife rides a small electric scooter around the neighborhood to the nearby gym and yoga park. She needed a basket to hold her phone, water bottle and other small items in her fanny pack. The basket mount fits perfectly without interfering with her hand break or throttle. The basket snaps in tight, no rattling noise when she speeds over bumps. The basket is easy to remove and to carry around in the park. This basket has a weight limit of 11lbs since the mesh wire is thin, so only teacup size pets may ride comfortably in this small basket. We have the seated electric scooter so the weight is heavy at the base, no risk of flipping my small dogs over. ( I would not put a pet in this for a push scooter, not safe if they flip forward.) Very practical item for bike or scooter- keeps phone, water bottle, and squirt gun handy.

Velcro strap not strong enough
I really liked my basket, it matched my cruiser. BUT: it would bounce off if nothing was in it. I resolved this problem by putting an alligator paper clip over th handle so it couldn't raise up. The Velcro strip came undone right away and I sewed it back. But now the plastic on the plastic on the Velcro has broken and can't be repaired. It isn't really strong enough to hold up when basket is used for groceries and such, say 10 lbs. I wish it attached with a stronger strap. It is worthless now. I guess if you don't really plan to carry much, it's okay.

Basket pops off when going over bumps.
I like it because its easy to install, however the way it is designed, when i would go over a bump, either everything in the basket would bounce out or if the bump was big enough the whole basket popped off. I broke my phone because of this and now the basket doesn't sit right. Its a great idea and very convenient to be able to lift the basket on and off with ease, but sometimes too easy and comes off when you dont want it to :(

Great Basket design, but not quite right.....
Pros:I loved the colorLoved the mesh bottom so stuff didn't slip thoughEasy to put on/take offCushions/padding over handle barLoved the Pink!Cons:When my NEW Cruiser was used with kickstand, the front wheel would pivot more to one side or the other w/ any weight in basket. I would not have an issue, but the black strap anchoring it to neck of handle bars, it did not protect my bike and the PINK rubbed off on my NEW Sea-foam green/white Cruiser. Sniff. Sniff. She isn't perfect anymore. I took the basket off and there it sits in the garage - so so so so so bummed. Used a magic eraser to help remove the pink, but it still left some imperfection.....

Awesome, easy to install basket.
Okay, if you're not mechanically inclined like me, and installing anything with screws makes your brain shutdown, this is the product for you. You literally just pop it onto your bike and you're good to go. Very little rattling, seems super sturdy, and I love the finer mesh. I don't have to worry about anything falling out. I haven't noticed any scratching either, I appreciate the rubber coating where it hangs on your bike.

Pretty but dangerous
Before buying this, I read the reviews and there were a bunch of complaints about the basket flying off and one worrisome complaint about the basket gouging the post of your bike.It took quite a while for this product to arrive - was delayed several times - and when it finally came, I was delighted. Such a cute basket and a lovely purple colour. Then, I found out that it didn't really play that well with my bike. The base part has 2 hooks which weren't wide enough to fully go over my handlebars, but with enough force, I managed to convince them to stay put. Then, there's a velcro strap that is supposed to fix the bottom of that base to the centre pole under your handlebars. But, my centre pole isn't a pole as much as a place where all sorts of bars come together, so there was no place where this strap could be wrapped around. So, I left that part simply resting against the bike without strapping it on. Then I hooked the basket into the base, as designed. Mindful of the reviews that spoke of the basket flying off, I simply attached a small bungee cord across the basket so that the handles could not move (when the handles are upright, the basket is unlocked from the base and free to fly). Then, I went for a ride to Lowes to see if I could find some better way to keep the basket on my bike. The ride is about 5 minutes, but really bumpy - the roads are awful. But the basket did not move. The base stayed on the bike and the basket stayed on the base, even as imperfect as the setup was. But, what I did notice was that the basket was carving a horrible gash in the centre pole, such as it is. I was shocked since there seems to be nothing sharp or abrasive about the basket's base, but the photo another user posted about the damage to their bike is no lie. It looked like someone had taken a saw to my bike! Being as I was at Lowes, I bought some thick velcro tape and simply used the furry side to cover the line the basket was etching in my bike. A couple or rides later, and that seems to be working to prevent further damage to my bike or rubbing between the two parts. UPDATE: it only took a month for the basket to rub through the tape. Until I find another solution to protect my bike, the basket cannot be used.

Perfect size for bike and surprising quality
It was hard to judge just how big this basket was going to be, but once installing it, it was clear that it was very proportionate with the bike. Mounting the basket took a full 2 minutes and the quick detach of the basket is useful if you need to quickly take it off, and it is also very sturdy. As far as the complaints about it damaging the frame of the bike go; all baskets that mount like this do the exact same thing.... no way around it, you could maybe put some tape under the strap to prevent it from rubbing on the frame. Will buy this again for any other bikes I have, can load it up full and not have to worry about it.

Perfect for the price!
Well worth the $; looks good and doesn't cost near as much as some of the higher brands do. So far so good! Will update if any issues. Not sure how some people's have bounced off... Unless they made a change to the design since those issues.

Bounces off.
It's a little heavy and makes my handlebars drop to the left when on the kickstand, but it does the job, a little bigger than I pictured. There's a major issue mentioned by others, in that when you hit any small bump the basket bounces off. I was confused how it could do that, but the two carrying handles on the top are what keeps it locked into place, they bounce up and release it from the front of the bike. This happened to me TWICE on a bike ride, once in very busy traffic. A major issue in design. I fixed this by using velcro ties on each side to keep it in place.

Super cute! Exactly what I wanted!
This basket is even better than I had expected it to be! It is the perfect size, and was so easy to attach to my bicycle. It has a quick-release option, so I'll be able to remove the basket to use it when I go to the farmers' market, then easily re-secure it before heading home. It's such a nice, vibrant colour. Such a great deal!
