IELLO 51531 King of Tokyo and King of New York: Anubis Monster Toy

I am obsessed with King of Tokyo!!! This addition fits in well and is very cool. The character design is awesome and the game mechanics work well, especially with my group of players.

Great add on to a fun game

Bringing Anubis to King of Tokyo was a great idea. They thematically brought in an Egyptian god into KOT with mechanics that fit in perfectly. I enjoy adding this one into our games regularly. The fate die and curse cards add a fun new layer that adds in a little more tension to the game. If you roll blessing you'll receive some benefit, whereas the snake will hinder your turn in some way. It was simple enough to introduce to my seven year old and its one he picks often. Highly recommend it as it adds some fresh mechanics and adds a pinch more to the gameplay.

Great item to gift for people who like board games

We just play kings of New York and this is the best expansion for KoNY. We don't play this expansion if we have a lot of new players in the first round as it adds a lot more strategy to the game and can be a little overwhelming. If you are looking to add expansions i would definitely get this on followed by Cthulhu. King Kong expansion is not worth it but he is my favorite monster to be so if want to add an extra monster get it or pass for the other two i have suggested.

I got this for my girlfriend when I ordered the Cthulhu pack, figuring we could both get our own monster that we really like. Turns out she loves it. The artwork is great and the curses add a lot to the mechanics of the game. It’s really fun and honestly a must for the game. Adds another little twist that can change the course of the game.

Anubis is a cool character. The art for him is cool... the power ups are cool... and I actually love the GIANT d4 fate die. But Im not a huge fan of the curses? For me and my game group it was just one too many components and made a simple and fun game too complicated... so we will be playing with Anubis sparingly from now on.

The new monster pack for King of Tokyo is amazing. It adds a great monster, but the really great thing is the curse die! Every round someone has to roll the curse die with all the other dice & you can remove a curse, have to deal with a curse, have something good happen or nothing happens. It is a fun change to the game. This is a must have expansion to an amazing game. The power cards also add some great depth to the game.

I bought this pack mainly because the curse system and die intrigued me. I thought it would make the game more fun and make people more cautious and aggressive. In all honesty the curse die is not a very worthy investment, as after the thrill of having something new wears off it is just an annoying thing to watch out for. The saving grace of this pack is the anubis monster as his artwork and evolutions are both amazing and worth the 10 bucks you got to cough up.

Los paquetes de monstruos siguen siendo de alta calidad. Este incluye un dado y unas cartas de maldición, además de las cartas de poder para jugar con KoNY o KoTY con su respectiva expansión.El tema de maldiciones y muerte muy central a Anubis y lo hace muy interesante cada turno para todos los jugadores ya que la “maldicion” afecta todos los turnos.El dado nuevo que tienes que tirar es de buena calidad aunque al ser una pirámide no “rueda” tan bien.Hasta el momento comparando con los otros dos creo que es mi favorita, a pesar de que temáticamente prefiero a King Kong o Cthulhu.Muy recomendable, aunque me preocupa que de tanto monstruo ya empieza a ser complicado poner todo en la caja original del juego.

La caja venia abierta pero afortunadamente el contenido vino completo, unicamente la tarjeta de anubis venia dañada le faltaba una pieza que sostiene el circulo donde cuentas los puntos de victoria, puse una foto donde se aprecia comparandola con otra tarjeta aun asi no afecto tanto no se cae tan facilmente pero debido a eso 3 estrellas.En lo que concierne al juego la expansion es buena es mi #3 en el top 7 de expansiones.

Otra expansión más de Kot/KoNY.+ Nuevo personaje, Anubis, con sus evoluciones.+ Modalidad con dado de cuatro lados y cartas de maldiciones. Está dinámica me parece la mejor de todas las expansiones de personaje para este juego, no sólo es divertido tirar un dado más, pero los efectos de los que hay que cuidarse cambian completamente el juego.La compré para completar la serie de expansiones, pero me encontré con que es la mejor.

Excelente expansión, los dados que trae son muy buenos al igual que el diseño de la figura.
