quiet-ish.
I was trimming my 18month olds hair with him, barely noticing, as he played with water in the sink, my 4.5 year old, watching, asked if I could do his too - he who hates getting his hair cut by a buzzer.The longest setting is rather short, but I did the back and sides, and then used it with a comb to do the top.The collecting cup doesn’t hold all that much so I did have to empty pretty frequently, but on the whole collected most hairs that would normally irritate and cause the hair cutting event to be traumatic for all involved!!!

Really Good for Babies
Honestly this is a really good trimmer, I used it to cut the lil bubbas hair and even while she was awake and had no issues. The suction function is powerful enough to get most of the larger locks but all in all still much easier to keep clean than without. In the box you get everything you need and even a good quality apron. A great buy for parents in my opinion.

Quiet enough to cut child's hair while asleep..
They are quieter than normal clippers and the vacuum function made a lot less mess. While he was asleep I put him on a changing mat and did one side at a time. A lot easier than the tears at the barbers. There was a handy graded guard included for going round ears.

Useful suction but not quiet
It’s not quiet. My 14 month old cried and refused having her hair cut with this. The suction makes it louder. Having said that, my 4 year old, who also has an intense fear of hair trimmers slept through the sound of it being used to trim his sides. The vacuum suction really helped! Meant he did not wake up itching. He did wake up near to the end so couldn’t finish the job properly

Great product handy hoover to get rid of loose hair
My boy has autism and has sensory issues he hates his hair cut unfortunately I had to cut his hair while he was asleep but this was amazing the hoover was amazing less mess no hair on him which he hates as he get's older this clipper is gonna be great just need to build his confidence.Over all this helped me get my son's hair cut so very happy.Was a little noisier than expected but didn't wake him great value for money.
