Great scissors for making precision cuts!
Let me say that I am probably slightly biased, because I LOVE Vivosun products. That said, these are great scissors. I recently purchased another brand of trimming scissors, and returned them because you literally can NOT prevent the sliding locking mechanism from moving during use. With that brand, the mechanism literally slides by ITSELF just by barely moving the tool around. It is a different type of locking mechanism than is used on these Vivosun scissors. It is so lightweight and slides so easily it will NOT stay in place by itself on the other brand.I think just about all of these scissors have the same basic problem, i.e. the lock mechanisms move too readily, but these Vivosun scissors are much better in that department. Not perfect, but close to it. The sliding lock on these scissors will occasionally move during use, preventing a cut from going all the way through. But it is only once in a while and pretty easy to prevent. With the other brand, the tool actually becomes close to useless due to having the lock slide into the closed position by itself very frequently. As far as the shears go, these cutters are GREAT. I had yet another brand of shears, actually Fiskars, (an excellent brand), but ultimately returned those as well, because both of the Fiskars scissors are straight, with no curved pair. Just two pairs of straight scissors. For me, a curved pair is an absolute necessity for making precision cuts. And by the way, I am talking about trimming LIVE PLANTS, not using scissors to trim harvested plants. I am talking about making precise cuts when removing leaves in strategic locations for plant health, air flow and light penetration. Having a sharp, curved, FUNCTIONING pair of scissors is essential to make precise cuts on live plants. And these Vivosun scissors fit the bill.I have four pair of scissors now in total. Two of the pairs are these awesome Vivosun curved scissors, which I use exclusively for defoliating live plants. The other two pair are a decent brand which are used exclusively for trimming harvested plants. I highly, highly recommend that everyone consider doing this. Don't use the same scissors for trimming live plants that you use for trimming harvested plants, even if you scrape them and give them a good wipe down with alcohol. Have dedicated pairs for each task. Also, I highly recommend wearing gloves, wiping down the gloves with alcohol, and then wiping the scissors down with alcohol between each and every cut made on a live plant. It is worth the extra time it takes to prevent any disease from getting into plant tissue or spreading.I very much recommend these Vivosun scissors for trimming live plants in a precise, efficient manner. And I am sure they would be exceptional for trimming harvested plants as well. If you only have a few plants, one set of these (two pair) are probably enough (one for trimming live plants and one pair for after harvesting). But if you have several, or have lots of houseplants, it might be great to have two sets (four pair); two dedicated pairs for trimming live plants and two dedicated pairs for trimming any harvested plant material.Happy Trimming!

Use these for sniper like surgical precision when you are exterminateing invasive weeds!!!
Ok I was very skeptical about buying a cheap pair of shears... oh how I was wrong. I ordered these and another pair of the Brand that starts with an F I ended up not needing the name brand pair. These were surgical sharp and I found that and the return spring opened them up fast so inwas ready for that next cut. I ended ip using these to remove an invasive vine from by Black berry bush in under 10 minutes with supreme ease!!

Super sharp, sharp points, often squish fingers in handle. They don’t feel safe to me.
these are sharper than sharp, and have an extremely pointy tip. I have to be so careful not to poke myself! also when I’m trimming, I have often squished my finger in between the handles, I’m not quite sure how that’s happening. Anyway, I wont buy them again because I feel like I have to be so careful not to poke myself with them, and then I am tired of squishing my finger in the handles. 🤷♀️ Someties things are very cheap for a reason.

Great pair of cutters for small and large hands.
These are a great pair of small pruners. My wife has taken them over for her flower cuttings and I've heard no complaints from her, so that means they're a 10 out of 5. She has small hands and they are perfect for her, I think they fell good in my hands too. They are easy to use, sharp, compact, and built well. Great to have and quick for flowers and light duty garden work.

QUALITY SHEERS FOR SMALL PROJECTS.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I needed some quality scissors to cut my orchid roots. These are just perfect. One downside , It comes with a very small plastic cover for the tip. I would have liked it better I’d it has come with a sheath for the whole blade. It’s hard to keep track of this tiny coverOther than that, they are very good.

precise and easy on my hands!
Makes quick work of a tedious job, makes it seem more like a leisurely activity, than work. My hands appreciate any tool that makes my chores easier and this is excellent, becoming my favorite new tool for my gardening pouch. Lightweight and compact, but sturdy, fits my hand well. The packaging makes it easy and safe to store.

Won't buy again
Don't know why I bought these again. I was just pruning my many petunias & since they have to be pruned down on the flower stem you need a pair of sharp scissors that cut on the very end. Once again, the ends of these refuse to close & I have to use the middle of the blades. My eyes aren't what they used to be & it's dicey seeing where I'm cutting if I have to use the middle of the scissors. The middle of the blades work great, just not for my petunias. I don't like to give bad reviews, but, I'm just disappointed & should've checked my scissors before buying these again.
