Great stool
The easiest assembly imaginable! I had actually been dreading putting the stool together but it was so simple. It came with easy to follow instructions and within less than 5 minutes I was done. The seat padding is great, very comfortable. The height is adjustable and it moves easily on my low pile rug. The wheels are a trick to put on until knowing this: push down firmly with your strength in it and as you do, turn the wheel. It then slips down into place and clicks.

Seems to be a good value for the price.
I purchased this stool over the dozens of other similar stools available on Amazon because it was the lowest priced and the reviews were good. Here are the bullet points:- Easy to assemble with included Allen wrench.- Base is wide enough to provide stability.- Base is molded plastic, there are similar stools with metal bases available if that’s your preference.- Seat cushion is very soft, I wonder about long term performance.- Seat cover seems a bit thin, again I wonder about long term performance.- Disassembly (if you have the need as I do) is somewhat difficult, requires a rubber mallet.- Light weight enough to be easy to move, either when assembled or disassembled. Some of the more expensive stools available may be better quality (they may not), some have reviews saying their seat is too firm – if that’s something you want check them out. So far I consider this to be a good value for the price, but I don’t know about long term performance yet. I’d recommend and would buy it again.Edit – 16Aug18: After not even two months of light use the foam padding seems to be breaking down and the seat is very soft to the point of bottoming out on the plywood it sits on. I’d always planned to make a slipcover for the seat for aesthetic reasons. Now it looks like instead I’ll be taking the original cover off, replacing the foam, and stapling my slipcover in place. Not really much more work than I’d originally signed up for, but I do have the added expense of the new foam. Otherwise the stool is holding up fine. Downgrading from five stars to four.

A great stool for almost anything
I bought this stool freshman year of college. It still works well to this day. I expected it’s wheels to start messing up but that didn’t happen. Reason why I bought it was to around the hardwood floor of my room. It would’ve been my desk chair, foot rest, make shift table and kitchen chair. While it lacks a back rest, and forces you to hunch over rather than sit back and relax. But I think that’s the best part of the product. It’s has that sense of temporary. Using it as a stool, for eating dinner is the best way in my opinion just because you have that bar like vibe. The compact simplicity of this stool is like a San Franciscan’s best friend. Given the small living space, it’s small enough to be pushed around the room and won’t take up a lot of space. Unlike most office chairs that take up a ton of space, but on the bright side they are comfortable. It really depends on what type of person you are when it comes to sitting.

Sturdy simple stool
This little stool is sturdy, simple to assemble and for the money is the best I've found. Though I'm a little under the weather, I decided to assemble this stool to prove a point and assemble it with one hand. To increase my fallibility I used my less dominant left hand as I am right handed. I do have to admit I did use my teeth (and mouthwash immediately thereafterwards) to untie the allen wrench and screws and used my body to help tear the plastic off. I did use my right hand to open the box as today I don't trust my left hand with a knife. Total time assembling stool was less than 10 minutes. The stool rolls easily, spins easy and raises easily. I did ding it for the fact that there are no set screws to hold the shaft or the seat in place as they require a gravity connection. So if you pick this stool up by the seat, you're going to walk away with the seat and the rest of the stool will stay behind. No big deal pick it up by the legs and the shaft or rather pick it up by the shaft and turn it so it is horizontal with the floor. The padding is not the cheap foam padding it's a couple of versions above that, I prefer a stiffer foam but I'm sure my wife will buy a pillow if it doesn't work for her. I will update as needed.

Nice!
Easy to put together, rolls very well, and everything works. Couldn't ask for a better chair for the price.

Screw poked hole
When I put the stool together, it was very easy. The only problem was, a screw poked through the seat. Instead of returning it, I just sat around the screw and used it until this last week. It almost lasted 2 years but then the hydraulics quit working and when I sat down, I went all the way down. I used it daily in the classroom.
