Q: Can these hats be spray painted?

They are very thin plastic. I suppose it depends on the type of paint used and how thin you make the layering. Use a paint made for plastic and make the layers light. It may crack easily.

Q: Can someone tell me the measurement across the top in inches?

Small enough for a 4th or 5th grader! They are so light and flimsy, they will fall off unless you put some felt or something inside.

Q: I just received these hats today and I am having a hard time separating them. Can anyone offer guidance as to how to separate them without damaging?
