Heavy Duty, Solid, and well built
I wanted something very solid so I could string a ham radio dipole antenna between the two ends of my house. After looking at the choices, I chose these, and I'm not disappointed. They are built with a thick steel, seem to be well coated, and because of the two-piece construction, are easy to install. The U-bolts, which seem to be stainless, come with both regular and locking nuts. Be aware that the hardwar is metric. I mounted the devices with the provided screws put directly into my eaves, and didn't use the provided inserts. In retrospect, I'd rather have a bolt that could be used with a socket and ratchet than the phillips-head screws provided since they'd be easier to put in.Overall, my project didn't work as I wanted because the balun in the center of the antenna was too heavy to be properly supported by my eaves. But these mounting brackets were a great choice and I will use them for mounting other antennas such as a vhf/uhf vertical (or ludite that I am, a tv antenna since I've abandoned cable and gone to a Tablo for my television). They'll work very well for these purposes.

Out of alignment
The holes in the 2 brackets didn't line up, had to drill them to fit u bolts, screws are not the easiest to use, put in lag bolts instead. Other than that it's a good product

It's definitely sturdy
Overall, I'm very impressed with this mounting bracket. It's solid and sturdy. The only thing I found kind of not so good was that I had some difficulty with gettingthe nuts to thread onto the u-bolts. It's all fine now. I trust it will hold up well.I probably won't buy these anymore though, mostly because it seems like a lot of the nutsthey provide do NOT screw unto the threaded parts of the u-bolts.I don't know if the u-bolts are the problem, or if the nuts are the problem. But I'm fed upscrounging through my own stuff to find parts that will work. Especially since theseclamps are not exactly cheap.

Offset is great
When supporting a mast by a bracket attached to the fascia board, the offset provided by this unit is absolutely necessary! Works great. Also, it's a very strong bracket.

Needs Extra Support!
Not a terrible kit, but needs either guy wires or a second bracket to get a sturdy mounting solution for any antenna mast. I have a Tempest weather station atop a 10ft fence top rail and it sways even with a 3-5mph wind.Update- Much sturdier with a second bracket. However, when trying to loosen the nuts, they became crossthreaded. Replaced the cheap Chinese junk with Hillman 1/4-in 1/4-in x 3-1/2-in Stainless U-bolts from Lowes. They are a snug fit through the holes, but they fit without modification. Factor in an additional $10-15 per bracket for the upgraded hardware.

Solid Mast Mounts
These are good and sturdy mounts. They worked so well for my ham vertical mast, I bought a pair for my Starlink mast. Highly recommended.
