Bought it in July 2024, returned after a few months use. This combo of camera and sock was the most expensive item we bought as new parents.Camera - very bad video quality (like an inbuilt camera of a laptop from 2000s) and that’s without any zoom. Once you zoom, everything is pixelated. Night mode is non-existing since the camera needs a some light source to show your baby - what? It doesn’t have any remote manoeuvring whatsoever, and you can’t mount it on the crib.The app: since there is no external monitor, this app is all you have so your phone or your partners phone is continuously busy as a monitor - every parent friend of ours who saw this was surprised at my decision making behind buying a baby cam without a monitor. The app has very little to no functionalities - you can’t take pictures or record videos when you want. The product description says it record videos I have no idea how it does that.The Sock - as new parents with anxiety to check on our baby every 30mins, this was a blessing from week 4 to week 8. Apparently you should not use it till your baby is 4-weeks old. Their fine print says so, I think. For the first few weeks of use it worked fine - we were relaxed to see the green light on sock station without needing to check on the baby whenever one of use woke up at night. It did give a couple of false alarms at night and woke all of us up including the baby. Very loud alarm if it falsely detects your baby’s heartbeat is lower than default range. But after one month use the station just refused to connect with the sock - it uses Bluetooth. We tried resetting, cleaning the sock, changing the size. Nothing worked with the sock and we knew the camera was bad purchase from day one, so we just returned the whole thing and bought a simple baby monitor for one third the price which has pretty much all the functions you can ask it.

I resisted buying one of these on the lead up to our son being born. Overpriced, unnecessary, will cause more anxiety than it solves. After we both laid awake the first night, listening for signs he was alright, getting up to check when it had been 5 minutes without a snuffle or a “eh”, I changed my mind.This thing is incredible. You’ve got to make sure it’s fitted well, or it might get a weak reading and give you a small heart attack (just once, and it was my fault!), but that slow pulsing green light on the base station as you blink your sleepy eyes is the most comforting sight you’ll ever see. You can’t put a price on peace of mind, though admittedly, Owlet have given it a good go! Worth. Every. Penny.

I wish this was around when I had my 3 older children! Fantastic product and is great peace of mind. Battery life is great . Easy to use and there’s a few different sock sizes! Baby hasn’t tried kicking it off so I’m assuming it is soft and comfortable for her. Has definitely eased my anxiety

Quite expensive, but it really does the job. Bit of a pain to set it up, but once up and running it's been really good

I didn’t use much when my baby was a newborn but after we found out he has a heart murmur it just gave me the extra peace of mind to carry on as normal and not go into a mode of overcaution
