Choo Choo Board book – 7 Dec. 2009

My eighteen month oldloved this book and we still read it now he is two and a half. Would thoroughly recommend. The cut outs of the mountains and the way the train goes through the tunnel is beautiful.

This is a lovely book. I have given it to girls and boys alike and have just delivered one to Australia for a child of 2 years who had worn out the pages of the last one I gave them, and baby of just 12 months who couldn't put it down. The pictures are charming and the words so easy to recite that children believe they are reading. I highly recommend any of Petr Horacek's books in this series.

A lovely book that our 1 yr old really enjoys. The cut out sections for the tunnel are good and gives him a handle to turn that page! The words used and the repetition are great as they really keep him focused, rumble rumble through the tunnel, clack clack over the bridge etc. Only thing is it's very short so we seem to read it about 5 times in a row - which might drive you mad!

We had to buy this book as my son refused to let the library have it back. The pictures are colourful, the holes in the pages are fun, but the best bit is when the train is in the tunnel. Wonderful.

Bought this along with 'Hello Little Bird' by Petr Horacek. Not impressed. Dark, limited storyline, 10 month old twins don't interact with them at all unlike their other books. Wanted a 'transport' based book to start to introduce to something other than animals, but have to say we're very disappointed. Won't buy anymore from this series.
