As Good As Homemade. . .maybe better
This is my second purchase of Pepperidge Farm Herb-Seasoned Stuffing 3-16 Ounce Bags. I have used this product for almost 15 years. A few years ago they stopped carrying it at my local grocers so................I tried Amazon. We both are retired so I cook /bake for two now. I also buy 10-12 pound turkeys unless our children come for dinner. A half bag plus all the ingredients (chopped giblets, finely chopped onion and celery, rubbed sage, poultry seasonings, butter and broth) makes a wonderful tasty stuffing. Fifty years ago my husband would not eat his mom's dressing. I insisted that he try mine which belonged to my mother. He loved it so much that he will choose my dressing over everything else on the feast table. I also make a "kick butt" gravy and Waldorf Salad. The thing here is that I use this mix for stuffed or with unstuffed pork chops, or a side dish for many of my chicken dishes. I love the fact that the bread that PF uses is multi-grained. I also like that it is crumbled not cubed. Also, you have to add the salt. There is a recipe on the side for stove top which tastes much better than the other brand. I use other PF products like cookies. This is a good food company. Try one bag then buy the three bag box. My daughters-in-law add all kinds of vegetables like finely chopped carrots and garlic. I have friends who add peas...especially to the stove top. This product helps make the perfect turkey every time!!!!!

Great shortcut
I've made my own dressing for ages but am to the point where I enjoy and appreciate many shortcuts. This eliminates a lot of prep but you still end up with a great pan of dressing.

It's great! I make it year round.
I love this stuff(ing). Lol. It has a great flavor and I won't use anything else. I tried another brand once and it was just blah. I've been using the same exact package for 30+ years and I just refine what I add. I.e. a little fresh sage or thyme or sausage. But this holds up really well with any flavors. (And I come up with some really weird ones...I once got it to taste like White Castle Burgers...please don't ask how...it was just weird with Duck.)

The best dried-packaged stuffing available
I grew up making stuffing from scratch with my Mom, cutting loafs of bread into squares and seasoning with fresh vegetables and herbs. Although home made stuffing is the best and in a category of its own, it can take hours to prepare and it is nice to have stuffing with a meal with little prep work! Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoning was ranked as the top dried stuffing available by Consumer Reports, and this is true to my experience. I think what makes this product different and stand out is actually in what it does not include and asks for you to add: grilled onions and celery. I found that when prepping according to the instructions and then baking, the stuffing tasted very fresh and the celery provided a nice crunch. Definitely much better than what you get from your leading brand's box.

Tasty, but I wish the ingredients were higher quality
This is my favorite stuffing. I would give it 5 stars, except I dislike that it has High Fructose Corn Syrup. HFCS causes a number of health problems, and I wish that Pepperidge Farms would avoid it. For ingredients, I would have given this 3 stars, so I ended with 4.Prep is pretty easy, but storing a partially used bag is a pain. (It is unlikely that you will use an entire bag at once unless you have a very large family). Still, the taste is good enough that I keep coming back to this stuffing.

GREAT IF YOU ADD SAGE AND DOUBLE CELERY & ONION
This wonderful dressing/stuffing is as almost as good as Mom's made from scratch stuffing if in addition to the package directions for butter, celery, and onion, that you add 1/2 level teaspoon of rubbed sage to the Chicken or Turkey broth before adding package contents and if you double the recommended amount of onion and celery per bag (from one cup to two cups each) and Sautee lightly (heavy sautee takes out some flavor). Avoid adding more liquid than recommended unless you like mushy.Another nice touch if you do not mind deviating from the traditional stuffing taste is to add a handfull or two of sweetened dried cranberries and optionally some walnut or pecan pieces - which you throw into the boiling broth IMMEDIATELY before adding the dry stuffing mix (the cranberry's and nuts loose their texture and taste if you let them boil for any time). Health conscious cooks can go half olive oil and half butter instead of the recommended 5Tb of butter. However, the thing that really takes this already great stuffing to a much higher level is the added sage, onions, and celery.

Availability
Cannot believe how hard this product is to find in my local grocery. So glad I found it here even though it's frightfully expensive. I just did a reorder and I'm glad that I only need it twice a year.
