Gets the job done and more. Worth the buy.
So I wanted an indoor camera for monitoring purposes as well peace of mind. I got this on sale during the holidays and got 50% off on the yearly membership with Canary when I activated it. I wanted to wait a while before leaving a review so I could provide some honest feedback.-I love the fact that I can just watch what's happening at home live at any time.-The night vision is fantastic. The image is clear.-I also love the 2 way speaker. I can keep an eye on my dogs and talk to them if they are misbehaving. I can also talk to the maintenance crew when they come by while I am away if I need to. And I can hear and see everything they do. I hate having strangers at home if I am not there.-The emergency button is great. You can connect to the police, the rescue and other emergency services with the touch of a button.-It was very easy to set up.-I also like the fact that you can set it up to not record anything when you are home if you want the privacy.-The range of vision is wider than I thought it would be, which I love. In my case one device covers both entrances of my home so I can see if someone comes through the main or the back door. You can also zoom in and out while watching live or recordings in case you want to see any details.Overall I couldn't be happier with the investment. It has brought a lot of peace of mind.Word of advise, do not install app on multiple devices. I had the app on my tablet as well as my phone and it caused me a lot of issues due to the fact that one device was at home while the other one wasn't. So the app was having some trouble entering the "Away" mode when I left home. So only install on the device that will be leaving the house with you. Unless you want to manually change modes every time. The only complain I have is that the camera seems to have some trouble recognizing my dog is not a person. But better safe than sorry, I rather get the notifications saying that it looks like there is someone home and just end up being the dog than not to have them a all.

Beware of Software / Firmware Upgrades
I purchased 4 of these Canary Views in 2018 -- 2 in early 2018 for my elderly in-laws (my mother-in-law only liked the Canary View because it looked nice in her home) and so that we would be on the same account, 2 for myself later in 2018.Several months ago one camera from each set of two failed during a software or firmware upgrade, according to my iPhone app. Tech support couldn't help fix the problem, but said before they could replace these, I needed to find my receipts. Despite knowing the exact models and the exact dates I purchased them and the accounts they were activated on, Canary said I needed the receipts -- which I spent hours of looking for. However, Canary then said that the cameras were out of warranty (even though they knew that from the beginning) and despite the problem being caused by a faulty software upgrade (no paper-clip option to reset to factory settings) I was offered replacements if I upgraded to a paid subscription plan. While I don't blame the customer service rep, as I assume he was simply following corporate policy, and I appreciate the offer of a 50% discount to upgrade to a subscription plan if they replaced the faulty cameras, for a problem that Canary's update attempt caused -- two cameras failing during an update in two different locations -- it is as if their business plan is more concerned with making money off the additional services than the equipment they sell, so that they then don't want to take responsibility for their faulty hardware, or rather, software or firmware upgrade, which turned two of my four Canary Views into bricks. (I remember when my old iPhone 4 turned into a brick after an iOS upgrade, and Apple quickly corrected it free of charge -- they didn't say that I needed to renew my Apple Care to fix the problem that they created).I am retiring later this year and am in the market for a new system, and will likely consider subscribing to a service that offers more features and benefits -- but I am wary of a vendor that doesn't stand behind the products that they sell. Again, these weren't dropped or damaged -- they failed when a software or firmware update was automatically pushed to these devices by Canary. The Canary View is a great design (except for the inability to use a paperclip to reset to factory settings) and the iPhone app works well too, but at the time I only needed these devices to do live monitoring -- I didn't need the additional services. Consequently, I am distrustful of a company that entices you with the basic product -- but won't take responsibility when their pushed-out upgrades go wrong, unless you are a paying subscriber.Fortunately, from the ads I am now getting from browsing Amazon, there are a lot more options for similar devices, and I may end up paying the same or even more than what Canary is offering me now. But I don't like to feel like I am being snookered in the transaction.

Great hardware, expensive service and no google integration.
The camera image and sound are great, but its use their cloud exclusively to save my data and its expensive, I would like it more if I have options in here to save my videos or not to save it and just send to my phone. Other issue is I have Google home assistent and it do not work well with it, only one command work till now "Who's in home?" I want to send my images to TV by chromecast or Roku.

Good security camera
This is my fourth. One didn’t work, but the others are great-resolution, ease of use, and I like that the subscription allows up to 5 devices for one price. You can use it without a subscription, just limited to 24 hours. Mine closed a case of burglary in my house. Person was apprehended and convicted due to the camera recording.

Great!
Cheap for the product. Works sometimes. Set up was a nightmare through the app. If you let your phone go into standby it will stop the update process and bug out. So make sure you use your phone on other things will it's loading to avoid this.
